Since Americans aren't the only ones with good soapy drama, has listened to our readers from across the pond who have requested we keep tabs on a few British and Australian soap operas. Take a look at what's going on with dramas from other parts of the world.

Zoe Lucker has been cast in the series "Waterloo Road." She will play Carol Barry, part of a crime family who will begin wreaking havoc in upcoming episodes.

Kat takes over Queen Vic's new football team when she feels Alfie isn't an effective recruiter. Her flirtation tactics throw her together with many of the town's men, which will lead her to having an affair. But with who?

Coronation Street:
Spoiler alert: Steve takes pity on Lloyd when he finds him in his broken down taxi. Discovering that Lloyd lost all his money in a bad deal, Steve attempts to help his old friend, but Lloyd proves he hasn't changed when he stabs Steve in the back.

Carla's brother Rob is on his way to Weatherfield after being released from jail. Word is the charmer will catch Eva's eye when he appears on July 9.

Spoiler alert: Cameron plans to leave town with Chas, but gets into a fight with a suspicious Cain first. Unfortunately, Debbie is caught in the middle of the violent tussle and goes into labor. Will the birth of the baby change Cameron's mind on starting a future with Chas?

Upon learning she's pregnant, Nikhil surprises Gennie with a proposal in the June 26 episode. Will she say yes? Watch the video, which might not be available in all areas, for more of the proposal.


Spoiler alert: Carmel isn't ready to accept the facial injuries the tanning bed caused. Her anguish over it is amplified when Jacqui, Cindy and Nancy pay her a visit. Perhaps Ally's army buddies can figure out a way to cheer Carmel up.

The soap will film from Company magazine's London offices for an upcoming storyline involving George and Esther becoming interns. While toiling away at the fashion magazine, George reportedly has an office romance.

Last week it was teased Silas was returning. This week, it's confirmed. Watch the promo, which might not be available in all areas, below. Should the village be afraid?

Home and Away:
Former "Home and Away" actor Brenton Thwaites (ex-Stu) has joined the cast of "Maleficent," starring Angelina Jolie ("Salt," "Wanted"). The film tells the classic "Sleeping Beauty" story from the perspective of the wicked witch.

Beginning July 27, the Australian soap opera will take a five-week summer hiatus. However, viewers will still be able to catch loads of drama, as classic episodes will air in place of new ones.

Spoiler alert: When Ruby senses tension between her and Romeo, she does what any good soap vixen would: lie to him about being pregnant. She goes so far as to tell him she lost the baby when Leah catches on to her ruse. Ultimately though, she's forced to tell Romeo the truth. Something tells us he won't take it too well.

Aaron Jeffrey ("McLeod's Daughters") has been cast as the Erinsborough News deputy editor. The two-month stint will begin airing in Australia in September.

Spoiler alert: It looks like a reunion is a possibility for Summer and Andrew, as the two share a steamy kiss. Do you want to see them get back together?
