Since Americans aren't the only ones with good soapy drama, Soaps.com has listened to our readers from across the pond who have requested we keep tabs on a few British and Australian soap operas. Take a look at what's going on with dramas from other parts of the world.
Helen Worth (Gail) got engaged to deputy headteacher Trevor Dawson last month. The couple plan to wed by summer's end.
Spoiler alert: When Terry returns to Weatherfield, he makes plans to open a strip joint and recruits his son Tommy, or more to the point, Tommy's money. Will Tommy go along with his pop's plans when he learns what kind of establishment they'll be running?
Jasmyn Banks has been cast as Derek's long-lost daughter Alice. She will begin airing in May.
Jessie Wallace returns to the "EastEnders" set this week. Fans can expect Wallace's Kat Moon back on their screens in roughly six weeks.
Spoiler alert: Laurel sees Ashley abusing his father and declares their marriage is over. Ashley is later arrested. It's definitely not a good time to be Ashley, but hopefully, with the truth out in the open, it will start being a better time to be Sandy.
Brenda throws a drink on Pollard when she overhears him telling Amy she's just a good time. Not that it wouldn't sting to hear those words, but she might want to settle down long enough to hear what he says next.
Cliff Parisi, formerly Minty Peterson of "EastEnders," will make a guest starring appearance on "Hollyoaks." No details yet on his character, but he will appear in a few episodes in June.
Ex-"Hollyoaks" star Ricky Whittle will guest star in season two of the VH-1 series Single Ladies.
Spoiler alert: Phoebe's had a rough go of it lately and the appearance of her mother doesn’t make things better. Considering her mother is a prostitute, it's no wonder she doesn’t want to move back in with mama.
Actor/musician Sebastian Gregory will appear as math genius Ed Lee. During his four-month stint, he will interact with the character Tash.
After their one-night together, Vanessa tells Lucas she's pregnant. His response is to question whether or not she's telling the truth. Ah, the reaction every knocked up single girl hopes for.
Susan supports Karl, who is asked to play a song at his friend's funeral. When Jessica finds out, she makes him choose between her and his ex. She might start rethinking that ultimatum when Karl decides he doesn’t want to end his friendship with Susan.
Home and Away:
Spoiler alert: After watching Leah pine for the still grieving Brax, Roo suggests she try her luck at online dating. Anyone else think this has disaster written all over it?
Now that word is out about Heath fathering her child, Bianca decides she and Liam should leave Summer Bay. That might appease her husband, but what will Heath, April and Irene have to say about the idea?
