Awake: Beginning March 1, the new NBC drama will start airing at 10.00 PM on Thursdays, in place of the low-rated show, "The Firm," which has been bumped to Saturdays. For those not familiar with the new thriller, it surrounds an injured cop who has to face many hardships after awakening from an accident.

Boss: Starz’ political drama, which stars Kelsey Grammer ("Frasier"), has cast Sanaa Lathan ("American Dad," "Nip/Tuck") as Mona - Alderman Ross’ Chief of Staff. Look for Kelsey's Tom Kane to become fixated on Mona in season two, which resumes later this year. Jonathan Groff (Glee) will also be turning up as Ian Todd.

Bunheads: Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino's new dance drama pilot has been picked up by ABC Family. There's no word yet when to expect the series, but it'll star Sutton Foster ("Law & Order") as Vegas showgirl, Michelle. Her new marriage relocates her to a small town where she signs on to take part in her mother-in-law’s dance school.

Chuck: If you've been collecting each season on DVD, season five, the final season, will be available on May 8! The collection will include an extended version of the finale, 13 episodes, bonus features and featurettes.

Desperate Housewives: Casting is currently taking place for the role of Bree's mother. If you recall, Bree's mother died years ago after being hit by a drunk driver. So how will they bring her back onscreen? Bree and her mom will appear in early70s flashbacks later this season.

House: After eight seasons, the producers have decided this will be the last. By April this year the series will have 177 episodes, 175 more than anyone expected back in 2004. The producers have always thought of House as an enigmatic creature and never thought he should be the last one to leave the party. Therefore having him disappear before the music stops, leaves a sense of promise and mystique in the air. President of Entertainment for FOX Kevin Reilly stated, "While it’s with much regret, and a lump in our throats, we respect the decision Hugh, David and Katie have made. A true original, on the page and amazingly brought to life by Hugh Laurie, there is only one Dr. House. For eight seasons, the entire "House" team has given us – and fans around the world – some of the most compelling characters and affecting stories ever seen on television. For all the above, we wholeheartedly thank them, and the fans who have supported the show."

Malibu Country: Country singer Reba McEntire ("Reba," "Frasier," "Tremors") will star in the new ABC pilot. When the comedy series hits the network's lineup, date still unknown, she'll play a divorcee who moves her kids from Nashville to Malibu and has her work cut out for her in order to keep her kids humble.

NASCAR Bud Shootout: For you fans patiently awaiting the race to the checkered flag, tune in on Saturday February 18 at 8.00 PM on FOX for the live annual event. It'll be hosted by Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip from the Daytona International Speedway.
