Past Writer to the soap operas Love is a Many Splendored Thing, Search For Tomorrow, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital, Raymond Goldstone passed away due to a heart attack on March 13, 2008 at the age of 88. A memorial service has been planned to honor Raymond’s memory for Friday, April 25, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the WGA Theater at 135 South Doheny Drive in Beverly Hills. Aside from being a journalism major at Cornell University, Raymond went on to serve in the Army during WWII where he wrote scripts while assigned in Signal Intelligence. In his later years he was a book editor and story analyst for Warner Brothers, and an English professor then went on to hit daytime by storm with his writing style, as well as some primetime dramas such as Knots Landing and Falcon Crest. wants to send our thoughts and prayers to his wife, actress Mary Ellen Jennings Goldstone and the rest of Raymond’s family.
