    The Return of Passions' Antonio

    Wednesday, July 09 2008

Now that Harmony seems to be verging on the end, in one way or another, it's only fitting that some of the mysteries of the past start to be resolved. One of these concerns what happened to that other Lopez-Fitzgerald brother, Antonio. We last caught a glimpse of Antonio when his "ghost" visited Luis on death row. Before that, of course, the brother's shared some much less compassionate moments. Antonio vanished in 2004 after the Crane jet he was... » Read More

Turiya Dawn Returns to Passions as Endora

    Monday, July 07 2008

For weeks Endora has been keeping her mother busy, refusing to materialize in a human form so they can leave Harmony. The little witch will soon be forced to do so and will show up in a guise we're not entirely used to. Next week, Endora will be visible as more than a stuffed animal or a bubble floating in midair. But she'll be back in her teenaged guise this time around. This has happened before, of course. Endora used to have a habit of aging... » Read More

Passions ' wonderfully talented McKenzie Westmore (Sheridan Crane) has just completed shooting a role on the hit Showtime series Dexter . The darkly comic series follows Dexter, a blood spatter expert for the Miami Police Department, who spends his off hours hunting down and murdering the guilty. Westmore will be playing the part of Natalie in an upcoming episode. On her website, she had this to say about it: "It was a really fun part! I cant... » Read More

Where Are They Now: The Charitys Part 2

    Monday, June 30 2008

Since we took a look at the original Charity last week, this time we'll follow the actresses who have played both her and her numerous doubles over the years. Perhaps more than any other character, Charity has had the habit of reappearing in false or evil variations of herself. After Zombie Charity, a succubus created by Kay which wreaked havoc on the town, there was also the Charity disguise which Kay used to deceive and seduce Miguel, a common... » Read More

Where Are They Now: The Charitys Part 1

    Wednesday, June 25 2008

Although Passions currently has its share of rather unpredictable blond women, the show used to have one who wasn't a Crane. Yes, I am speaking of course of Charity Standish, the insanely innocent and virginal niece of resident goody-goody Grace Bennett. She arrived in Harmony after Tabitha killed her mother, Faith. Like many of the women in her family, she had some degree of supernatural powers, hers being the ability to see some future... » Read More

Passions' Charles Divins to Guest on My Boys

    Monday, June 23 2008

Since the end of Passions was announced several months ago, many of the series' actors have already started moving on to other roles and new projects. Of course, for many of the show's long term characters, the move to a career independent of their characters in Harmony began when the show moved from NBC to DirecTV last year. Charles Divins (Chad Harris Crane) had one of the most shocking and disturbing exits when the show hit its climax on NBC... » Read More

Passions at the 35th Annual Daytime Emmys

    Friday, June 20 2008

If you watched this year's broadcast of the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, you might have noticed that Passions was conspicuously absent. Not only did it not receive a nod in any of the more popular categories, the awards show proceeded without a single mention of it. Even the actors from the series seemed curiously invisible. » Read More

Passions and the Daytime Emmys: The Precious Problem

    Monday, June 16 2008

With the 35th Annual Daytime Emmys fast approaching and the often controversial and critically snubbed Passions ' reaching its end, it seemed like a good time to cast a nostalgic glance back at one of the series' most acidly criticized ventures. Creator, Producer and Head Writer, James E. Reilly, displayed his usual zest for outlandish controversy early on in the show's history when he created what may have been the most widely talked about... » Read More

Ever since Passions began back in 1999, it has opened with the theme song "Breathe" sung by Jane French.
