Passions Recieves Four Daytime Emmy Nominations

    Wednesday, April 30 2008

    (Soaps.com)
The nominees for this year's Daytime Emmy Awards were revealed this morning on The View. For yet another year, the strange genius that is Passions did not receive all the accolades many of its fans believe it deserves. The show did, however, pick up four well-deserved nominations.

The show has received nods in the Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design, Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling, Outstanding Achievement in Makeup, Outstanding Achievement in Live & Direct To Tape Sound Mixing categories, proving that, at least, everyone knows it's one of the best looking shows on daytime. Strangely, it did not receive any recognition for its musical work last year, an honor it has frequently been granted in the past.

Soaps.com sends our congratulations to all of the nominees for their hard work!

Thanks for the write-up and the comment about Passions being a "strange genius". It looks as if the show gets snubbed again. I'm supposing the nominations they got were for the work done with the Blackmailer character. I was also surprised that their musical, Spellbinding!, didn't get nominated.
I wonder if any of the 2008 work will be eligible for next year's Emmys?
