    The Disguises Come Off!

    Wednesday, July 30 2008

Tabitha and Endora try to get Fluffy in her cage so they can go visit Precious. They feel the earthquake and think it’s the demons in the basement, but then Tabitha realizes it's not and exclaims, “It’s the beginning of the end of Harmony!”

Endora thinks the end of Harmony isn’t coming after all, but Tabitha thinks that was just a prelude. She wants to leave Harmony right now and they try to lure Fluffy to her cage again. Fluffy finally gets in and Tabitha prepares to leave. However, Tabitha is unable to open the doors or windows and she says they are trapped! Tabitha thinks it’s the work of the evil boys downstairs and thinks they may have just missed their last chance to escape death and destruction. Endora says she can still use her powers and they go to the bowl to find out what’s going on in Harmony. Tabitha tries, but nothing happens because she isn’t a witch anymore, so Endora summons the bowl to give them answers. When she asks what horrible thing is in store for Harmony the bowl bubbles over with fire. They put it out and look in the bowl and see a volcano – Mt. Harmony, which has been inactive for some time, but with the end coming, the volcano is alive again. Endora asks the bowl who is behind all the destruction to come. She sees a man at a desk with the initials J.Z. who is pulling feathers out of a dead peacock.

At Tabitha's, the Demon Elf does battle with Endora. He zaps her forcefield as she worries that her powers will soon give way and they will be reduced to atoms. He continues to threaten revenge on Tabitha for betraying the Dark Side and having appalling taste. The forcefield collapses. Endora cries to her mother. "Say goodbye to earth!" the elf cackles. Tabitha tries standing up to him, threatening him with the strength of her motherly love. He zaps her and she collapses. Endora cries at her mother's side. The demon tells her to come with him to the Dark Side and fulfill her destiny... or die. "I want to be a good witch," Endora protests. "No one messes with my mother!" she yells, zapping the demon against the door. Tabs revives as the demon screams. Tabitha repeats to her daughter that she loves her and this gives her an energy boost. The young witch manages to send the demon back to Hell before falling down to the floor. Tabitha cradles her, feeling like a burden for being unable to protect her. "You are my Mommy! You'll never be a burden," the young witch says.

Tabitha wanders around her house and asks her daughter to conjure up some bicarbonate soda. She'll never get the sight of Norma and Edna's wedding out of her mind. Endora says they were sweet. Tabitha thinks they should have been filmed for the Nature Channel. They chuckle. Endora's just glad she got there in time to catch the bouquet. Tabs tells her to get rid of it and wash her hands, reminding her of Edna's "little accident" when she got overexcited. Endora chucks the flowers and magically sends Edna a wedding present; a binding spell that will stop her from ever need diapers again. Suddenly, the house starts to shake. Tabitha expects the end but it's only the Demon Elf. "Gross!" Endora cringes.

It soon becomes obvious that the Dark Side knows Tabitha's lost her powers and they want Endora. "This doesn't bode well," Tabs surmises. The demon accuses her of embracing the power of Good and lists her many transgressions against Evil. It's now time for her to answer for her crimes! When he threatens to torture her in Hell for eternity, Endora stands up for her. Tabitha is sure that no one can hurt her as long as she has her daughter by her side. He explains that Endora's power came from Tabitha's subconscious power and now that that is gone, she's no match for the forces of darkness. He zaps the former witch onto the floor. Endora's furious and shoots back. She and the demon crack their knuckles and prepare to battle. Her mother tells her just to zap them out of Harmony. The young witch tries but the magic fizzles. "You're all going to die!" the demon cackles. He mocks Tabitha's legendarily bad taste in interior design as he prepares to destroy her. Tabitha wishes she had never done the right thing. The demon shoots again and Endora battles off the blasts. Endora creates a forcefield to protect her and her mother. The demon continues shooting at them until it begins breaking down.

    Wedding Day.

    Wednesday, July 16 2008

Back at Tabitha's, Endora comes downstairs, materialized as a teenager much to her mother's dismay. "We all make mistakes. Just zap yourself back to being a little witchlet," Tabs says. Endora tries but her magic fizzles. Tabitha imagines that she may be losing her witchiness too. "Bummer," Endora says. Tabitha tells her "pumpkin" that she must have dreamed being a teenager. Endora imagined that she'd be harder to boss around that way. She wants to go to the wedding, sure that nothing else could go wrong. Her mother thinks that's silly. Endora begs her to let them go and instantly zaps them over to the church. "I will not be the pawn of a rebellious teenager!" Tabitha complains. She demands to go home but Sam and Kay spot them first. Tabs explains that she dressed in the car and claims that Endora is her great niece. Kay tells them they will all be living happily ever after. Kay and Endora skip into the chapel. Tabitha stands back and worries.

Sam tells Kay how happy he is to see his little girl all grown up. He knows that she and Miguel have a special love and he's sure they'll be happy together. Kay tells him that she knows that he loves Ivy the way she loves Miguel and she's finally okay with that. The wedding march begins to play. Sam walks her down the aisle while Endora and Tabitha watch. Endora pouts because they are staying at the back. Tabs may not be a witch but she still has a gut feeling that something bad will happen.

    I'm not a Witch Anymore.

Suddenly Fluffy punches Tabs over. Tabitha thinks that Fluffy must have just missed her and come back for a visit, but her pet seems to be playing a bit rough. "It seems like he's really attacking me," she says. Kay tries chasing the evil cat away with a big glass of water. "I haven't just lost my powers, I've lost my whole identity," Tabitha gasps. Kay tells her to see the bright side: Now she can go to her wedding! Kay hugs her. "Oh joy," Tabitha drones sarcastically. "It's going to be a blast," Kay promises. Tabitha remembers the signs she's seen and tries to get out of the invite. Kay gushes about how they are best friends and then rushes off. Tabitha slumps into a chair and tells her daughter that it's all up to her to get them to Nurse Precious now. Endora wants to go to the wedding. Her mother says something bad will happen and what she did last night wasn't even worth it.

    I've Finally Solved a Case!

    Monday, July 14 2008

Tabitha goes home to see her daughter. Endora watched everything that happened in the magic bowl and thanks her mother for saving Julian. "Now we can leave," Tabitha announces, asking her daughter to materialize so they can go. Endora explains that she's tried, but the spell isn't working. "This is exactly why I didn't want to lose my powers!" Tabitha says. Now, she has no powers to help her. Endora is sure that she can figure something out. Tabitha feels terrible; she can't even hug her daughter. Endora turns into a stuffed animal for her mother to hug. Tabs cries as she clings to her. Endora tells her that they can accomplish anything if they do it together.

    Doesn't Everyone Look so Peaceful?

    Wednesday, July 09 2008

As the storm rages, Tabitha paces around her house, terrified that all of the evil is on the way. "I've seen worse," Endora says. Tabitha is not amused. Endora still refuses to go. "Mortals die," Tabitha explains. They just need to get used to it; soon they will be with Precious and they can forget about everyone else. Esme runs in. "Help them Tabitha! You have to save them from certain death!" she begs. Tabitha knows what's going on and jokes that everyone's in the right place to die. Esme begs her to try helping for once. Tabitha insists she's helpless. "Can you really just walk away? Do you think you could live with yourself?" Esme asks. Tabs tells her to blame her own family. The witch doesn't see why she should stop any of those families from dying out; each of them has been trying to kill her for centuries. Tabitha talks about being an outsider, even when she was at witch school. Esme thinks that she is just punishing people for never being part of the in-crowd. If she thinks that people should be kinder, she should try being a trendsetter and save some lives. Tabitha still refuses, sure that no one would even thank her for saving them. Esme tells her to take a leap of faith. The only leap Tabs wants to take is out of Harmony. Endora listens in and asks if her daddy is trapped in the church. Esme reads the word bubble and asks who her daddy is. Endora tells her it's Julian, much to Esme's shock. "He certainly gets around! We should compare notes sometime," she says before telling Endora that her daddy is probably dying a horrible death. Endora begs her mother to save him. Tabitha refuses to ignore hundreds of years of Crane cruelty. "I'm half-Crane," Endora points out, much to her mother's annoyance. Tabs still refuses and Esme accuses her of being as petty as a mere mortal. She tries quoting Scooby Doo to win Tabs over but it fails. Esme realizes there must be something else stopping the witch from going into the church. Reluctantly, Tabitha explains that if she steps foot in the church, she will lose her powers and she won't do that for anyone. Endora asks if she will do it for her. "Bad things happen to bad people," Tabitha quips. Endora offers to protect her. Tabs has always been a witch: "I couldn't bare to be a mewling, puking, sniveling mortal! Please don't ask me not to be who I am." If she loses her powers, all her enemies will come after them. Endora says she has enough magic to protect them both. She begs her mother again. Tabitha wonders... but the pressure is too much and she agrees to do it. Tabs lets her daughter out of the cage, but makes her promise to stay in the house until she gets back. Endora thanks her and wishes that she will be just like her mother when she grows up.
