Spike and Noah are fighting in Sam's house. Sam returns with Ivy just in time to pull Noah off Spike. Sam repeats his request that Jessica seek therapy. He has a number of a doctor she can see.
Spike won't have it. Not only is his wife not going anywhere, he wants Noah arrested for assaulting him. He claims Noah attacked him without provocation. Sam was not in the room when it happened. He asks Jessica if it was the other way around, did Spike provoke Noah. Jessica lies and says no.
Paloma begs Jessica not to send her own brother to jail. Sam asks Paloma if it is true. Paloma answers the provocation was not physical. That leaves Sam no choice. He orders Paloma to arrest Noah. Simone begs Jessica to stop the arrest. Spike demands that she not talk to his wife anymore. Simone leaves for the police station.
Sam tells Spike it isn't over. Spike gives him the news that the two of them are moving out of his house, forever. It's also news to Jessica. They leave after much protests from Sam and Ivy.
As they leave, Jessica asks Spike how are they going to live now. They have no money. Spike informs her that she is "gonna have to work the streets again."
It is very sad. It's pouring down rain. Sam stands in the rain, watching his little girl go with a thug. He prays for answers.
Spike stands in Sam's living room. He has interrupted Jessica's intervention. All he wants to know is what has her family done to her. Noah and Sam order him to get out of their house. Simone and Paloma stand behind Jessica's decision, too. Sam tells Spike that Jessica is against him too.
Spike asks Jessica if she is going to testify against him. He tells her if she wants to testify, then they will both testify. Jessica knows what that means. Spike is threatening to tell about her and the dead johns. Sam encourages her not to be afraid of whatever Spike is using against her. Spike accuses Sam of brainwashing Jessica. Noah thinks that's rich coming from the premiere brainwasher. Spike's subtle threats work. Jessica backs down. Sam begs her not to go back to Spike but Jessica is too afraid.
As her family watch in horror, Jessica retreats completely. She apologizes to Spike. She disavows that Spike has been beating her. Simone shows Spike Jessica's scars from her cutting herself. "This is the real proof of how Jessica feels." Sam concedes that he can't make her leave Spike but he wants her to see a therapist about the cutting. Spike won't let his wife do therapy. Any problem she has, Spike is going to take care of them. Spike goads Noah and Noah ends up punching him. Spike punches back. Spike beats the mess out of Noah as the women scream.
At Jessica's, Paloma, Simone and Jessica watch the porn tape on the news. Paloma worries Pilar will freak if she sees it. Jessica wonders how Noah will take it. Paloma knows it had something to do with the sting operation Luis was involved in. She explains what she knows and about Fancy's part, too. Spike comes in. He gets a good laugh when he sees the two on TV.
"Stinking hypocrites," Spike says. Porno is one thing he wouldn't do. Paloma defends Luis. Spike suggests that he and Jessica make one too. Paloma and Simone have had enough and decide to leave for the station to give Luis and Fancy moral support. Jessica tries to join her friends but Spike wants her to stay with him. She says no. He smacks her and knocks her down.
Paloma and Simone rush to Jessica's side. Spike says he didn't hit her. Simone tells him has to stop abusing Jessica. He claims that heterosexual like it rough. Paloma responds that she likes men but she doesn't like men that hit women. She advises Jessica to get away from him and press charges against him.
Spike orders Jessica to tell them she would never press charges against him and for her friends not to either. If they do, he will tell the police about her part in the murders of the dead johns. She complies. He tells Simone and Paloma to stay away from his wife or Jessica will suffer the consequences.
Spike drags Jessica home. He threatens to beat her for complaining about him to her friends. Jessica denies that's what happened. She explains how they saw the bruises accidentally. She never blamed Spike. He threatens to hurt her friends permanently if she does. He scares Jessica with his talk of violence. Spike changes the discussion and tells her he really cares about her, striking her to force her to recite all the "good" things he does for her. He dangles the diamond necklace he stole from Sheridan and gives it to Jessica. He reminds her that he is the only one that loves her, not her friends.
He starts pawing her. She pushes him away. He practically raped her the night before. He is forcing himself on her again. In her daydream, Jessica stabs him to death. In reality, she pushes him off her and grabs a butcher knife. She orders Spike to leave her alone. He dares her to stab him. She doesn't but neither does she back down. He goes upstairs to take a shower and orders her to join him. Jessica cuts herself with the knife and flees the house.
Jessica excuses all her bruises as results of accidents. Paloma recognizes the signs of abuse. Simone guesses Spike is the cause. Jessica says she is not a statistic. She defends her husband, her happy married life. She accuses Simone of being jealous. That the reason she became a lesbian was because she couldn't get a man. Simone doesn't rise to the bait. She understands Jessica was trying to deflect the attention away from herself. Besides, if she was so happy, why is she cutting herself again. "Happy girls don't cut themselves."
Jessica denies the cutting. She begs them to stop ganging up on her. Paloma expresses her concern for her friend. She thinks Jessica may be clinically depressed. They just want to make sure she doesn't end up dead by suicide or by Spike's hands. Simone urges Jessica to leave Spike. Spike comes at that moment. He grabs Simone by the wrist and begins twisting her arm. He warns her to butt out.
Paloma warns him to let Jessica go or she will arrest him. He refuses. Paloma uses her police skills and gets the drop on him. She has him on his knees. He orders Jessica to tell them that she likes her sex rough. That's the reason for all the bruises. Jessica demands Paloma let him go. Paloma eventually does. Spike threatens to let all the secrets out if they don't keep out of his business. If he tells what he knows about the dead bodies, they will end up in jail and Jessica might get the death penalty.
Jessica, Paloma and Simone are poolside at Theresa's. Paloma and Simone dish dirt about Eve and Julian while Jessica dozes. Simone and Paloma are worried about Jessica. She has been so depressed lately. She tells them she is just tired because of her marital nightly duties. Simone says if she wasn't already, the idea of having sex with Spike would turn her gay. Jessica used to be so happy go lucky. Spike changed all that. Paloma and Simone can't believe she married him. They decide to trick her into getting into the pool. They pull her clothes and all.
Jessica is not amused. She wants them to leave her alone. They apologize and offer to help her get out of her wet clothes so she can dry off. She tries to avoid letting them see her unclothed. She is unsuccessful. Jessica is bruised all over her body.
Paloma sees Spike's dirt-bag acquaintance trying to rape Jessica and comes to her rescue. But the man pulls a knife out on the girls. The man throws Paloma to the ground, but Robert knocks him over the head with a garbage can except it doesn't keep him down. The man gets away. Jessica stops them from calling the police, not wanting to deal with the repercussions of her past being brought up. Paloma tells Jessica to wake up, that Spike is to blame for all of her problems. The dutiful wife she is, Jessica defends Spike to the fullest, says Spike would never hurt her. Jessica leaves Paloma and Robert outside.
Spike brings Jessica an extravagant bracelet, telling her how much he loves her. She tells him although he had forced her into marriage, she always hoped he would have true feelings for her. And the gifts, Jessica says, proves that Spike really loves her. Spike tells her he's taking her out to dinner. At the restaurant, Jessica runs into Paloma and Simone. They tell her Spike doesn't deserve her. Outside, Spike is being threatened for owing someone money. In exchange for the money he owes, Spike tells the dirtbag that he can have Jessica in trade, that he could do what he wants with her! The man takes the deal! Jessica goes outside to look for Spike and is attacked by the man who Spike owes money to. Spike watches from around the corner…
Spike pleads with Luis, telling him he didn't shoot Pilar. Luis says he's going to find out who helped Spike. Spike looks down at a wooden chest. Once opened, Luis finds it empty! He tells Spike he'll find the proof he needs to prove Spike did it. Suddenly Spike reveals that Chris is his alibi! When Luis questions Chris, he's very nervous, but gives Spike his alibi. Even though Luis knows there's more to Chris and Spike's story, he has no choice but to let him go. Fancy un-cuffs Spike, and Luis tells him to watch his back, that he WILL get the dirt on Spike. Luis, Fancy, Chris and Sheridan leave. Jessica questions Spike about what really happened.
Luis, Fancy, Chris and Sheridan find Spike with Jessica, and Luis attacks him! Fancy quickly steps up, reminding Luis that this could destroy their case. Luis backs off, begins questioning Spike, asking him where he was when Pilar was shot. Spike says he was at the fair with Jessica, putting her on the spot! Luis wants answers, asks if Jessica was with Spike. She finally answers Luis...¦ No, she didn't see Spike at the fair! Luis puts Spike under arrest, asking Spike who helped him get into the mansion...¦ Spike looks to Chris!
