At the prison, Noah explains how the lethal injection machine works as Kay and Paloma cry. Miguel wonders how this 'travesty of justice can go ahead.' Meanwhile, Julian finds Vincent in the hall and asks him where Eve has disappeared to. He suggests that she's running errands. In fact, Vincent has locked her in a closet where she bangs on the door begging for help. After awhile, Julian hears her but the door is locked. He finally pulls the door open and walks into her waiting arms. When he begins kissing her, she pushes him back and reminds him that they have to save Luis. He vanishes; it was all her imagination.
We'll Name Our Daughter After You
At the prison, Ivy asks Pretty to reconsider letting Fancy marry Luis and have a little happiness. 'Why would I do a damn thing for Fancy when she deliberately did this to me?' Pretty asks, flashing her scar. In the chapel, before the guards can break up the non-wedding, the blackmailer suddenly appears. As they run off, Luis tuns after them and the guards begin to shoot. Luckily no one is hurt in the crossfire. Sam tells the guard off for shooting around civilians. Everyone begins to run through the halls while Julian continues to refuse Eve's pleas to turn their son in and save Luis. He tells her to go after Vincent while he leads everyone else on a wild goose chase. As the group runs up, he sends them in the wrong direction. Ivy looks out as the warden runs by. He asks her if she's seen anyone in bizarre clothes. 'Besides Tabitha Lenox?' she asks. When she tells Pretty about the blackmailer, her daughter quickly runs off.
As Luis is taken away, Julian stands with Eve and their son. He points out how awful it was to see how everyone reacted to Rebecca when they thought she was the blackmailer. They can't do that to their son. 'What about Luis?' she asks. 'Cranes trump the great unwashed every time,' he tells her. Eve is more sure than ever that she needs to turn her son in. Walking over to the phone, she arranges to meet with the warden. Moments later, Sheridan confronts Vincent alone. He says that he just set up Rebecca to lighten things up a bit. Sheridan is angry that he's betrayed her and Luis is still set to be executed. He promises her again that if she kills Theresa, Luis will go free.
Julian searches around for Eve. She is waiting in the hall for the warden. Vincent finds her and accuses her of stabbing him in the back again. She asks him to let Luis go. 'Luis is going to die and there is nothing you can do to stop it,' he says, pushing her into a closet and locking the door. As she bangs on the door, he refuses to let her out of the closet and smiles while he thinks of Luis' death.
Small Price to Pay
At the prison wedding, Pilar wonders what is going on with Fancy. At least as long as the wedding is postponed, Luis' execution will be postponed as well. She begins to pray that a miracle will come and save her son. Whitney sees her mother sitting alone and sits beside her. Eve feels sick knowing that Luis will die when he's innocent. She almost spills the truth to her daughter but stops herself and begins crying.
Eve tells Julian that they can't sit there anymore and watch Luis go to his death. He tells her that they have to think of their son first. He then begins to wonder if there is some other way to stop the execution without incriminating Vincent. He gets up and goes to talk to Endora.
Meanwhile, Eve goes out to the hallway after spotting Vincent. She expects that he is there to turn himself in. She will go with him to the police and make sure that he is not sent to prison but to a mental institution. That still doesn't sound terribly attractive to him.
When Being Pretty Isn't Pretty
At the prison/wedding chapel, Paloma walks down the aisle to the sound of the familiar wedding march. Eve admires how beautiful she looks, but it's hard for Pilar to be happy when she knows that her son will die after the wedding. When Eve turns to say that she's sorry, Julian shoots her a concerned look. Checking herself, she only tells her old friend that she is sorry for her loss. Meanwhile, Kay tells Miguel to think of their wedding rather than his brother's impeding death. He wishes he could just think of good things and gives her a kiss. Tabitha admires how cute Endora looks as a flower girl. Norma suggests that she could be the flower girl for her and Edna when they get hitched.
Theresa returns to the altar and tells everyone that Fancy will be there soon. Luis is relieved, but he's still nervous. He wants to walk her in himself. As he rushes off, Noah tells Paloma how much he looks forward to being married to her and Ethan tells Theresa that nothing will keep them apart. Pilar starts to pray for a miracle and Eve tries to suppress the guilt she is feeling. In the corridor, Ethan wonders if Fancy is just waiting for Ivy to show up. Seeing that Sam is uncomfortable at the mention of her name, he understands: He could never forgive a woman who lied to him about his children.
What Are You Doing Here?
Eve and Julian lay on her couch, fresh from lovemaking and amazed that this has happened again. The prison warden calls to interrupt their fleeting bliss. Eve feels bad; she knows that she needs to confirm Luis' death... she also feels like she has to come clean about who the real culprit is. Julian won't let that happen. He doesn't think that she can set an example to her children by turning one over to the police. He needs to help this son just as he would help his other children. Eve still can't live with the guilt, she claims. He asks her to keep quiet for Miles' sake. How would it impact on his life to know that his father had a gay incestuous relationship with his murderous cousin? That succeeds in guilting her even more. Julian won't abandon his own family, he vows. Besides, there is no actual evidence to connect Vincent to any of the crimes he claims that he committed.
Julian and Eve arrive, confused to see that the prison now looks more like a hotel. Vincent runs over to 'mommy and daddy' to give them hugs while Sheridan smiles and tells her brother that she just met her new nephew. Once Eve and Julian leave, Pretty walks in and Sheridan greets her. They quickly send her into Fancy's dressing room. As she walks in, Fancy turns around and her jaw drops when she sees her sister. 'What are you doing here?' she asks. Pretty says that she is only there to support her sister and bury the hatchet. She's just surprised that her sister is marrying a killer. He's not a killer, Fancy explains, before apologizing for never trying to get in touch. She just wants Luis to concentrate on the good things in his last few hours. The wedding is strange enough without him meeting having to meet her. When Pretty says nothing, Fancy assumes that she understands, but her sister suddenly steps forward and threatens to tell Luis everything if she goes ahead with the wedding. She knows that ruining this day for her sister will ruin her life. Pretty pulls her hair back and shows Fancy the scar on her face. 'Every time someone calls me Pretty it is a knife through my heart!'
