Dropping on his knee, he tells her that he wasn't looking for love, but he's found it with her. She is a wonderful and whole person and he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Taking his hand, she needs to ask him why he's asking her this now; with all of the trouble around, she thinks that they should be focused on helping their loved ones. He says that getting married would show everyone the importance of love; life is too short and they're surrounded by people with regrets, people who waste too much time. 'It is life affirming for us to get engaged, not just for us, but for everyone we know,' he says before he asks again. She smiles and tells him that she loves him, but, before she can answer, the phone rings with the lab results.
