Starr X'd Lovers: The Musical Part One begins, Jessica infuriates Layla, Carlotta questions Cris and Starr is hurt...
Starr arrives at her school locker and remembers when she first met Cole. Langston appears and Starr breaks down over what's happening with Cole. Starr wonders what Langston would do if she lost Markko? Talk turns to Starr and Hannah's argument. Langston is shocked to hear Starr thinks Hannah may have pushed Marty down the stairs. Starr and Langston are late for rehearsal and head to the gym.
They walk into the gym just in time to catch for the song and dance rehearsal for "Starr X'd Lovers." Everyone in the cast, including Nate, Dani, Matthew, Destiny and their classmates finish the number. Starr and Langston share a smile. Starr turns down Langston's offer to go to Foxy Roxy's. Across the room, Destiny tells Matthew it bothers her knowing Langston is cheating on her boyfriend. After Destiny and Dani leave Matthew warns Nate to keep his lips off of his girlfriend!
Starr heads back out into the hallway. Cole appears and asks if she wants to go to prom. Starr is shocked to see Cole! However, Nate appears and asks if Starr is okay. Starr realizes she was daydreaming…
Layla walks into Foxy Roxy's and Jessica makes it clear that she and Cris are destined to be together. "You'll see." Jessica smirks and admits Cris was jealous of Ford hitting on her. She also challenges Layla to ask Cris about their almost kiss at the gym! Jessica continues to taunt Layla when Dani, Destiny, Langston and Whitney arrive. Destiny overhears Jessica and Layla's argument, makes a comment about boyfriends cheating then says, "Right Langston?" Langston's mouth drops and Whitney lashes out at Dani for kissing Nate. Finally Roxy screams for everyone to shut up! The girls all come together and start singing and dancing "Our Lips Are Sealed."
Hannah goes to the jail and tells Cole that Starr accused her of pushing his mom down the stairs. Cole apologizes for Starr's accusations. Over talk of prom Cole says he was supposed to take Starr tonight. Hannah wonders if Cole wishes he were with Starr right now. Unseen, Starr listens as Cole tells Hannah about their last prom. However, she rushes off upset when Cole finishes with, "If wishes were horses beggars would ride."
Markko runs into Brody at the diner. They talk about prom and Brody says Markko's lucky his date doesn't think she's in love with someone else. Across the room Carlotta asks Cris if he's sure he still doesn't have feelings for Jessica. Cris claims he loves Layla then reluctantly replies, "So what if I do? Would that be a crime?" Cris claims he'll always care about Jessica. "You can't have it both ways," Carlotta warns. "You're going to hurt them both if you don't make a choice." Cris takes a call from Layla who agrees to meet him at the diner. Carlotta takes photos of Cris before he goes. Markko's parents do the same with their son.
Brody stops in to see Roxy dressed in his Navy uniform. While Roxy rushes to find her camera Brody takes a seat outside the salon and starts to sing "I'm Gonna Keep On Loving You" to Jessica. When Roxy appears with her camera Brody comes out of his daydream. He smiles for Roxy, who takes his picture.
Jessica arrives at the Buchanan mansion and overhears Clint, Viki, Bo and Nora ask Matthew to watch over Jessica at the prom. Jessica assures them she doesn't need Matthew's assistance. If she has her way she'll have her own chaperone. Later, everyone takes photos of Matthew and Jessica. Brody arrives to pick up Jessica and Clint takes their photo.
At the mansion Dorian is looking at a photo of Starr and Cole from last year's prom. Blair worries that the current situation could really tear Cole and Starr apart. Tea arrives and Dorian becomes suspicious to see Blair and Tea's interaction. Blair explains that she invited Tea and Dani over so Dani could get ready for prom with Starr. Later, Blair covers for Tea when Dani overhears them talking about her treatments. While Dani, Tea and Langston head upstairs to get ready Starr arrives home. Blair tells Starr she's going to the prom tonight. She holds her daughter close and sings "Where Do We Go."
Blair and Starr join the others upstairs. They all help her get ready for prom.
Shortly after Starr goes downstairs and answers the door. It's Cole! "We were meant to be together," Cole says then kisses Starr, who is startled to see Markko and Matthew staring at her from the open doorway. She sadly invites the guys inside…
Starr goes outside and sings "We Belong" as many around Llanview prepare for prom. Dani and Langston join Starr and sing along…
Back at the jail, after Cole turns his back on her Hannah stares at him and sings the same song.
Still inside the mansion Dorian looks at Cole and Starr's photo and says, "They belong together, tonight of all nights, and I'm going to make it happen."
