Todd and Ross fight over Dani, Charlie is taunted by Mitch, and Dorian gets serious...
In the Seattle jail, as Todd expresses how much he hates Tea calling Dani Daniela, claiming that's the first thing he's going to do when he gets out - change his daughter's name - Elijah arrives and announces that Dani ran away from child services! Elijah assures them that Ross, who has just been brought back into the jail area by a cop, will not be released. Ross hears the news about Dani, and while the cop opens a cell, to put Ross back in, Ross knocks him down, takes his gun and orders Todd to restrain the cop! Ross aims the gun at Todd and demands that he tell him that Dani is his, but Todd tempts Ross to shoot him by saying that he's Dani's dad! Ross knows if he kills Todd, he'll be locked up - and Dani needs him. Ross leaves, as Todd and Tea scream for a guard!
Over in Matthew's hospital room, Matthew asks Destiny to be their lookout again while Dani tries to escape, but when Destiny looks out the door, she sees Rachel and Greg, kissing, then tells Dani and Matthew, "Guys, you just lost your escape route." Dani rushes under the bed, as Greg and Rachel come in, and when Rachel gets a call saying that Dani is missing, she asks if Matthew and Destiny have heard from her - as Destiny kicks Dani's foot under the bed! Matthew claims he hasn't seen her, but Destiny purposely puts the bedrail down, causing Dani to squeal, then she's forced to come out of hiding! When Greg berates Destiny for taking part in hiding Dani, Destiny admits that they should be thanking her - for ratting Dani out! Destiny claims that she only did it because Dani is in danger then Rachel takes her phone out and gets word to Tea.
From outside Matthew's room, Ross listens to Rachel assuring Tea that Dani is okay!
Blair brings Jack home, scolds him for letting the mice out at school then says, "You're so much like your father, it's unbelievable." Jack brings up how Todd left then screams, "He's never coming home!" Blair assures Jack that his dad will be home soon, that he went to convince Tea that he loves her then Blair admits she was the reason they broke up. Before Blair can explain further, she gets a call saying that Todd has been arrested for attempted kidnapping! "Who'd he kidnap now?" Jack asks, but Blair promises to bring Todd home then gets ready to leave for Seattle.
Just as Dorian vows to legalize same sex marriages, the Attorney General appears to stop her and says, "There will be no gay marriages approved in Llanview!" Dorian accuses the man of discrimination then vows to file the certificate to legalize the marriages. The Attorney General says, "By the end of the night, you'll wish Viki Banks was mayor." Dorian stands tall in front of her supporters and signs the document, but the Attorney General warns, if she stamps the document she'll be arrested - then points to Fish and says, "By him." After Dorian stamps the document, to make it legal, Fish is ordered to arrest Dorian, or his badge will be revoked, but Fish refuses to arrest her - and defends Dorian for trying to break the law to make things right in this world. As Fish goes to hand over his badge, Dorian tells him, "Keep your badge, Officer, arrest me, I will go proudly." The crowd cheers, as Dorian demands that Fish cuff her! Dorian assures Langston and Starr that she'll be fine, says that she's been arrested for worse, then instructs the girls to go to their concert. Before they take Dorian away, she tells the crowd, "I'll be fine. I'm only going to jail… the safest place in town."
After Dorian is led away, some thuds approach Amelia, who worries to Nick about Dorian's arrest, and the men make some bigoted remarks!
When Charlie arrives outside Mitch's cell, Mitch wonders if he's there to finish him off and taunts Charlie about being a murderer and a drunk. Charlie demands to know why Mitch killed Jared, but Mitch replies, "I didn't kill Jared, you did." Mitch continues taunting Charlie, asking if he lied to Viki about where he went - maybe to an AA meeting - then belittles Jared's memory, comparing him to a loser like Charlie. "You're a drunk," Mitch says. "It's the hand that God dealt you. Nothing changes that." Charlie refuses to allow Mitch to get under his skin, but Mitch reminds him that every time Charlie closes his eyes, he'll see Jared, the little boy he abandoned, then urges Charlie to bury his memories with the bulge in his jacket pocket, which he assumes is a bottle of booze. "It's okay," Mitch says. "I won't judge you." Mitch claims that if Charlie hadn't been searching for Jared, he'd still be alive then says, "You should've never left Texas." After Charlie leaves, Mitch sings a happy tune and snaps his fingers to the beat.
Shortly after, Fish brings Dorian into the jail cell, and she's shocked to see Mitch - who is happy to hear that Dorian is Llanview's new mayor!
Viki finds Natalie at Jared's gravesite and tries to get her to leave, but Natalie says she has to be the one to walk away - on her own. They briefly reminisce about when Jared proposed then Natalie says, "We only got six months… thanks to Mitch." Viki begs Natalie to put Mitch out of her mind, but Natalie screams that she just wants to strangle Mitch with her bare hands - and knows Jessica and Charlie want to do the same! Viki again warns that everyone has to move on, in order to be free of Mitch, then admits that Charlie almost killed him in Napa. Natalie wishes Charlie would have killed Mitch and wonders how Charlie is going to survive - if he's blaming himself for Jared's death, instead of Mitch. Finally, Viki gets Natalie to leave with her, saying Jared will always be in her heart.
Once Natalie and Viki are gone, Charlie approaches Jared's gravesite, thinks back on what Mitch said then takes out the bottle of booze and drinks deeply.
