Natalie and Jared are stumped by a mystery, Marty is there for Jessica, and Cole plays his cards right...
Jared shows up at Buchanan Enterprises and enters his office, never realizing that someone is watching him from around a corner. Once inside his office, a man puts an envelope, addressed to Jared and Natalie, on Jared's secretary's desk, as Jared entertains Natalie with a little foreplay.
As Jared is walking Natalie out, they find the envelope, which contains a DVD - and they are shocked to see it's a play by play of Nash's death! Jared rushes back into the hallway, calls security then chases someone pushing a mail cart! When the man gets away, Jared instructs security to view the surveillance tapes then tells Natalie he has an idea who sent them the DVD - Jessica! Natalie assures Jared that Jessica hasn't had a relapse then they agree that the person who delivered the DVD was the one who created it.
Over at Rodi's, John hands Brody some money then discusses Cole's situation - and how Cole can't be in contact with anyone who can tip off the dealer, especially Starr! Suddenly, John smashes Brody against the wall and demands he never come to work high again - and to get his act together!
After John pushes Brody away, he turns his attention to the mayor, who's approached the bar, demanding to see a list of every case he's on - since he got his girlfriend's son off on a lesser charge! The mayor rants about the drugs in Llanview then screams, "You need to stop the dealers from selling to the town's children instead of letting Thornhart go free!"
While Cole is doing his community service cleaning up garbage in the park, he sees Starr and Hope, kisses Starr then informs her that they're being watched - by Serge, who's seated at a picnic table! Seeing Serge approach, Cole and Starr talk about how her dad is keeping them apart then Serge joins the conversation - acting as though he ran into them while not paying attention! Serge comments on their beautiful baby then leaves Cole with a hidden threat! As Serge walks away, Starr plays along, demanding that Cole make some money to support their daughter.
After Starr leaves, Cole confronts Serge and says, "I thought I already passed your test!" Just as Serge replies, "That was only one," Brody appears and says to Cole, "Dude, I have to talk to you." Cole puts on an act, tells Brody to take a hike then tells Serge how much he's already sold to Brody - and suggests maybe Brody wants more drugs, so he can sell them himself - and put them out of business! Serge is impressed with Cole's business sense then says, "I'll tell the boss, maybe he'll want to meet you."
Later, Cole finds a note from Starr reading, "We love you," sees Starr from across the park and smiles.
From another part of the park, Serge calls his boss, commends Cole then suggests that he may want to use him for something bigger!
Dorian marches into the hospital and sees Viki. While waiting for the board meeting to start, they discuss Dorian crashing Viki's wedding - and David's sudden appearance. As Dorian bashes his reality show, saying it would be awful to subject the Cramers to it, Viki smirks and shakes her head.
As the meeting gets underway, Viki vogues for Marty, who the board is reluctant to rehire, but when the mayor appears, he votes against Marty returning ever again - for fear that Marty will steal drugs for her son! Viki brings up the mayor's hatred for John then a vote is taken - it's a tie, with Dorian as the tiebreaker! Though Dorian isn't a fan of Marty's, personally, she values Marty as a doctor and votes to have her reinstated at the hospital. Dorian shares a smile with Viki. Once the room clears, Dorian shares a candid conversation with the mayor about how she's no longer chief of staff.
Seeing David at the diner, discussing the need for a cameraman, Langston drags Markko over to David's table - and is offered the job, after David hears that Viki and Charlie are married! "Llanfair," David says. "Here we come! We can still call it the 'Lords of Llanview'!" Going over the possibilities involving the lives of Viki, Charlie, Natalie, Jared and Jessica, David giggles, "This should be perfect!" Though Markko refuses to use Viki and her family, David says, "Markko is right. There's another way to do this." David acts as though he's going to get Viki's okay then tells his producer, "What the kid doesn't know won't hurt him."
Marty arrives at Llanfair and tells Jessica that the hospital board is meeting - to determine if she can work there again. Seated on the patio, they briefly talk about Hope then Jessica confides how much she misses her and says, "Maybe that's why I'm seeing dead people." Jessica explains her 'Nash sightings', saying she feels as though Nash is trying to keep her from Brody, and Marty comforts her and assures Jessica that she's not crazy - and is just trying to figure things out. Suddenly, Viki appears and gives Marty the good news!
After Marty leaves, Viki makes sure Jessica is okay - and neither realizes that someone is watching them from outside! As Viki goes to answer the doorbell, Jessica closes the screen on her laptop, which is showing the newspaper article about Natalie and Jared taking Nash from her then she goes to the patio, sees a man in the bushes, pulls him out and snaps, "What do you want from me?"
When Viki sees David at her door, he comments on how he bets she never expected to see him!
Marty goes to Rodi's to tell John her news but worries about how badly the mayor tried not to get her reinstated.
