    On The Hunt For Janet!

    Monday, January 12 2009
Many are on the lookout for Janet, Cole finds himself going down the wrong path, and Viki is there for Todd...

After Nora finds the joint by Matthew's backpack, she calls Bo and says, "Bo, we have a problem!" However, when Bo has to take a call from the mayor, Nora tells him she'll be right down to the station!

In the foyer of the mansion, Renee is shocked to see Janet - who asks for her help! Renee is happy to see her old friend Janet! "I need you to hide me," Janet cries. Suddenly, Janet hears someone coming - it's Nora - and she hides! After Nora leaves, Janet comes out of hiding and confesses all to Renee! After Janet tells Renee that she's not in trouble with the law right now, Renee goes to call Bo for help - but Janet stops her! Janet admits that she did overhear 'some' of Todd's illegal intentions, and that she's afraid the police will charge her, but Renee refuses to break the law by hiding her - until Janet starts crying, begging and pleading, leaving Renee to finally allow her to stay in the guesthouse for now.

Tea is still at Todd's, worrying about finding Janet, as well as wondering if Dr. Joplin confided in anyone about what she planned to help Todd do! Finding out that she had a son, Tea takes off to do some investigating, hoping to find a journal of Dr. Joplin's!

On Tea's way out, she passes Viki, who arrives to see Todd! Though Todd tries to laugh off his suicide, Viki pleads with him to take responsibility for his actions - and not be a coward by killing himself! "The good news is," Viki says. "Once you hit bottom there's nowhere else but to go up." Viki tends to believe there is still good in Todd. Todd reminds her of all the people who want to see him dead, and how he can't see his children, then wonders where he's supposed to find hope in that! Viki talks about Todd's children, reminds him that she'd miss him if he was gone then leaves Todd staring at a picture of his kids.

When Nora arrives in Bo's office, she lays the joint on his desk - but Bo thinks it's Cole's! "That's not Cole's," Nora says. "It's Matthew's!" Bo is furious, and calls Matthew a little stoner, but Nora begs him to be calm and talk to Matthew rationally - hoping maybe it's a onetime thing! After Bo finally agrees, Nora grabs the joint then says, "Let's go talk to the stoner."

Later, when Bo and Nora arrive back to the mansion, Bo screams, "Matthew, get down here now!" After Matthew comes downstairs, wondering what he did wrong, Bo makes him have a seat - and Nora pulls out the joint and asks, "Would you like to explain this?"

Just as Talia and Antonio get a fax, a tip about a 'Janet sighting', Tea arrives at the police station and wants the details as well! However, Talia and Antonio refuse. After Tea leaves, Antonio shows Talia the phone records he got subpoenaed - Todd's!

In the hallway at school, Asher hands Cole some pills, and Cole hands him some cash! Cole then leaves a message for John, wondering about Marty's whereabouts, and admits he's 'kind of freaking out'.

Still in the classroom, though Mr. Joplin apologizes to Starr, she says, "I'm the one who caused your mother's death!" Realizing that Starr doesn't blame his mother for her baby's death, Schuyler makes it clear that he doesn't blame Starr for his mother's death - then mumbles something about him blaming himself! Without getting into specifics, Schuyler talks about a past screw-up then admits that his mother appeared distracted during the last weeks of her life. After agreeing to check their connection at the door, so Starr can stay in his class, she shares with him how much she respected his mother - and how Dr. Joplin gave Starr a lock of her baby's hair, the one thing she has left of her.

Once Starr is gone, Schuyler gets a call from Tea, asking to speak with him about his mother!

In the hallway, Starr gets a call from her dad but doesn't answer.

Over at John's, Blair and John argue over why he was running after Marty again - and why Blair was at Todd's. "You're not over him, and you probably never will be," John says, leaving Blair to admit, "Yeah, so what if I'm not." When the phone rings, Blair says, "You better get it. It could be Marty." Ignoring the call, Blair clarifies that she's not in love with Todd, rather she's tied to him through her children, but warns that she won't stay with a man who's chasing someone else.

Little do they know, outside John's door, Cole is listening and hears John confess to Blair how Marty is going down the wrong path - and how she's shacked up with some guy right down the hall! Inside, Blair and John come to terms with their troubles and fall into bed - while Cole rushes down the hall!

Down the hall, Cole bangs on Wes's door, screaming, "Mom, are you in there?"

At the carriage house, Gigi is scrambling to get dressed, so she can attend a meeting, but Rex convinces her to indulged in him again - on the living room floor!

Suddenly, Shane arrives home saying, "Mom, I'm home." First Rex pops up from behind the couch, followed by Gigi, leaving Shane disgusted! After Shane turns his back to them, and explains why he's home so early, he runs upstairs, leaving Gigi to say, "We've scarred our son for life!" Rex thinks it's time someone talks to Shane about the birds and the bees, and Gigi thinks it's a great idea - and delegates Rex to do it! Rex is nervous, and begs Gigi not to leave him alone with Shane, but Gigi assures Rex he'll be fine then leaves for work!

When Rex calls Shane downstairs, he says, "It's time we had a talk - man to man."

Next on One Life to Live:

    Wes meets his new boss!

Todd shares his feelings with Starr.

Bo and Nora confront Matthew about drugs!

Cole is pushed away by Marty - once again.

I feel sorry for Cole; man he's about to do some serious spiraling down. What's up with Marty??? Why isn't she at least trying to reach out to her son instead of pushing him away like he's garbage? She needs to get it together FAST!

Well Wes, looks like John's your new boss ~ we'll see how long you'll be working there. John's gonna be all over you like white on rice concerning your "friendship" with Marty.

Blair's upset because John is "chasing" after Marty; honey, get used to it. John is going to always be there for a woman who "needs" help. Isn't that one of the things you said you "loved" about him in the first place?

    @zphib
You hit the nail right on the head with your comments. I agree that Cole is going down the wrong path, poor thing. His mother doesn't remember him. Period. Marty is trying to find out who SHE is and cope with what Todd did to her at the same time. I feel sorry for them both. John is an I.D.I.O.T.. No, I take that back. John is John.If I remember my facts, all of his relationships have started with a rescue of a distressed damsel. Blair is the I.D.I.O.T.. I kind of liked her with John, but I want her with someone with more money and prestige. She's thumbing her nose at Todd by having a little fling with John. I like the dynamic between John and Wes. Wes is so hot I can't wait to see how Schuyler's character develops. His relationship with Starr can go in a lot of directions. I hope the writers have some interesting plans for these guys.
When is Ray coming to town again? I want to see some ACTION!! He is already PO'd sittin up in that Co-lom-bee-on pree-son:)It's gone be on like Donkey Kong in Llanview when Ray gets back! Look out Vanessa. It's gonna suck to be Mrs. Christian Vega. Ay dios mio:)

Im loving both comments I just read. I am soooooooo over marty! This is crazy.. She's in the show for what exactly? I understand that she went through some things with todd, but how rude is that to just ignore your son completely. She has to realize that he's going through a lot as well, but the difference is he's a 17 year old kid! Why is she acting like a child? Or a hooker is the more suitable word. She's making OlTl a little boring.

So is rex, and gigi....but I'd rather watch them then marty any day!

    violetaflores,

I feel sorry for both Cole and Marty, too but I still think that in "finding" herself, Marty should lean on the one person who she KNOWS is legit and that's her son. She's skeptical with others because she can't remember, okay fine. But Cole is your SON; begin to find yourself in/with him. He needs her just as much as she needs him.

You're right about Johh; his relationships are ALWAYS based on a woman's need for help. He's "Mr. Helper" and Blair knew that from the beginning; heck, that's how she and John started this "new" thing in the first place. Now she wants to complain ~ like you said I.D.I.O.T!

I read ***spoiler*** that Starr and the teacher are going to get close which is going to upset Cole. It should be interesting to see how things go in school...

I also read ****spoiler**** that Cris and Vanessa consummate their marriage so I guess she'll be around for awhile. Plus, in the opening credits, Vanessa AND Lola's pictures are on now so maybe Ray will be back sooner than later. But then you know the whole thing with Tea is going to come out once Ray does make it back to Llanview...whew! Talk about some fireworks!

I think Marty is back in Llanview because the character illicits a response from viewers. She appeared for like 3 seconds in a clip for tomorrow's show and so far all four people who have posted regarding today's show have devoted a fair amount of what they had to say about her. I wouldn't call that boring I'll always devote practically 100% of my post to Marty, because I love her. I expect that it is going to be hard to try to defend her actions tomorrow, I may have go so far as to just avoid the boards I'm really looking forward to watching Wes and John try to work together, they are both very strong willed and protective people and when they collide it is going to be pretty exciting.

Anybody hear watch the show "24"?
Mark Derwin(ex-Ben Davidson) is on the show this season. Saw him last nite. He is playing the Sec of Defense. I don't know how big a part it will be. But it was great to see him on one of my favorite shows!!!!

Sounds like Todd is throwing himself a pity party with Viki as his main guest.

Posted by TipsyTess at Monday, January 12 2009 02:26 PM

I liked the scenes between Todd and his sister Viki. I'm happy she is still there for him.
Rex and Gigi...naughty you 2. Can't you go to the bedroom for whoopie. Pretty sad when your son walks in on you.
I like John and Blair together. Hope they stay that way.
Cole and Starr are only friends now nothing more. If something blosoms between her and the teacher then so be it. But I know in our Country it is against the law for a teacher to be involved with their student. So most likely will just be friends. I do like that actor who plays the teacher. I have seen him on another soap and he is awesome.

jumps, I saw Mark Derwin on 24 last night too! I was so happy to see him there because I didn't know he was going to be a cast member. It was a nice surprise!

iipax, me too, I love Marty and I understand what she's going through. SHe probably has to go through all of this pain so that when she does remember and embraces Cole it will be extra special

Posted by gulla at Monday, January 12 2009 04:16 PM

i hope starr dont be in love with her teacher...cole will try to hurt him and starr will blame herself for that...i would hate for starr to do this to cole...thats why he will probably be upset for...starr better watch what she doing...cole going to be jealous of them and its going to be starr fault...i know cole loves starr to death for her to do this to him...i hope her and the teacher become just friends nothing more...i would hate for her and the teacher hook up in front of cole's face like that...its sad for cole...cole is a good kid and person...he dont deserve any of this happening to him...starr will reliaze what happening to him and try to talk to him about his problem...starr better think before she fall for someone like that...
