Thanks jorie & lucetta...I've been reading but just not posting. Between ALL of y'all & the great comments, y'all said it all. I noticed even ringleader & onancy61 chimed in. Best of all, gulla...I am lost without her fashion advice! Dang, when did Victor's eyes get so blue & damn Todd is hairy! lol

Hi everyone! I loved the ending of OLTL - though I am SOOOOO sad to see it end. Even though the show is tragically over, I don't see any reason why we should stop posting our theories, especially since they announced the crossover of Todd, Blair, Starr and John (and presumably Natalie - who I actually DO like - and Victor as well). As far as Jack and Sam, since they are in school, perhaps they didn't want to move to PC, so they moved in with Aunt Vicky to stay in Llanview (just a thought).

Let's start by stating that I am not one who is "easily confused". Y'all know that NuTodd/Victor (I guess I'll just call him Victor now) was NOT my favorite character. But if there's one thing I hate even more than Victor (when he was Todd) getting away with EVERY nasty thing he ever did, it would be inconsistent writing and character actions. So, having said that, there is NO scenario that I can think of where Todd would have showed up at Victor's house that night and Victor's reaction would have been that low-key ("what are you doing here?" with no yelling, no sign of hostility, etc.). Victor had JUST been told that Todd had a gun and that Blair was afraid for Victor's life because she didn't know what Todd would do. Victor may have been very confident - c0cky even - that he could outmaneuver Todd, but I just don't see him addressing Todd showing up at his house like that. I mean, forgetting that Victor didn't sound hostile at all, the fact is that Victor DID sound surprised to see whoever was there. Why would he be surprised if it really was Todd? Blair just told him that Todd might come looking for him (with a gun).

As for having "seen" Todd shoot Victor, I haven't watched the whole saga - I only really started watching again the last few weeks - but how did we see that? I would have to think that was in flashbacks inside Todd's mind, since he was the only one there besides Victor (otherwise, they'd have a witness and there would be no mystery). So if the only way we've seen Todd shoot Victor was in flashbacks that are supposed to be Todd's memories, if he'd been brainwashed to think he had killed Victor, then the memories would obviously be false.

My theory is that someone else shot Victor, but Todd did go to Victors house that night (probably intending to shoot him). When Todd got there, Victor had already been shot and when Todd saw Victor there, shot, bleeding, dying, the memory planted in his mind kicked in and he believed he did that - especially when he looked down and saw a gun in his hand. So, that's how they can write it, if they want to make it that Todd didn't actually shoot Victor.

As for Tomas, I thought I read someone post that Tomas was involved in kidnapping Todd - which allowed brainwashed Victor to take Todd's place. IF that's true, I'd say that Tomas owes Todd one, even if Todd did have him kidnapped and held hostage. But that's JMO.

And I'd just like to point out that when Todd and Blair were burning their little post it notes that had things on it that they felt bad about, Todd's did say he felt bad about killing Victor and framing Tomas. In my opinion, Victor never showed that kind of remorse for his misdeeds - he always justified it in some way - "I feel bad about it, but they made me do it," or "they deserved it" or whatever. And I'll give in that maybe some of that was from Irene's brainwashing, okay? It's just how I saw the character. For me, I believe the remorse coming from Todd more than I ever did from Victor. But, then again, I always like RH's portrayal of Todd much more than TSJ's (don't hate me, it's just what I preferred - everyone's entitled to their own opinion).

Anyway, I'll be interested to see what happens when these characters move to GH. I have been hating the mob-centric storylines that GH has focused on (almost exclusively) for WAY too long. I MAY have to start watching GH again with ME and RH moving to the show.

Only in the last few months did OLTL seem to remember what a soap should be, which was very unfortunate. If they had done so sooner, the show might have been saved. The narration by Vicky on Thursday and of Allison Perkins yesterday reflected exactly what viewers want for their shows. If TIIC or TPTB had remembered that sooner, this very excellent show might still be on the air.

And, for the record, I have never seen "The Chew" (and I never will) and I will NOT watch "The Revolution" (EVER!!) - even if my only choice is endless Maury DNA test results rerun shows! (That should tell TIIC how seriously I HATE what they've done to ABC Daytime. It may not be a crime, but it certainly is criminal!

VICTOR ALWAYS FELT MORE REMORSE AND HE HADN'T EVEN DONE IT WE KNOW NOW.TODD HAD. MORE WAS DONE TO VICTOR THAN HE DID TO ANYONE IN THOSE 8 YEARS ,HE SUFFERED THE CONSQUENCES FOR WHAT TODD HAD DONE AND NEVER RECIEVED JUSTICE , LIKE WHEN HE WAS KIDNAPPED AND ALMOST KILLED BY MILES , FOR WHAT REX GIGI AND THE MCBAINS DID TO HIM , GOING TO PROSON FOR A RAPE THAT NEVER HAPPENED , A MURDER THAT NEVER HAPPENED, B/C THEY THOUGH HE WAS TODD HE SUFFERED FOR TODDS CRIMES , TSJ TODD WAS MUCH MORE REDEABLE THEN RH ,BUT THAN HE HAD NOT DONE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. RINGLEADER I GUESS YOU FORGOT THE REMORSE VICTOR FELT WHEN HE TRIED TO COMMIT SUICIDE B/C OF MARTY , THAT WASN'T REMORSE ON TODDS PART WHEN HE BURNED THE PAPER IT WAS JUST GETTING IT OUT OF HIS PSYCHOPATHIC MIND, AS FOR WHEN TODD SHOT VICTOR, TODD WAS STANDING OUT IN THE RAIN LISTENING TO VICTOR, ON THE PHONE TALKING TO SEAN'S VOICE MAIL. HE USED THE KEYS JACK DROPPED WHEN SHANE HIT HIM AND KNOCKED HIM OUT THAN TOOK HIM THE HOSPITAL . SHOT VICTOR RUBBED OFF HIS FINGER PRINTS OFF THE DOORKNOB ,JACKS KEYS ,THREW THEM BACK ON THE GROUND .WENT TO THE DOCKS .MET LOUIE,GAVE LOUIE DORIAN'S GUN , WHICH WAS THE GUN HE USED TO SHOOT VICTOR. LATER HE BOUGHT THE GUN BACK FROM LOUIE AND USED IT TO FRAME TOMAS WITH. AS FOR TOMAS OWEING HIM TOMAS BELIEVED HE WAS WORKING FOR THE US GOVERMENT , HE WAS SUPPOSE TO KILL HIM BUT HE DID NOT BECAUSE HE HAD THAT PICTURE OF BLAIR, THAT HE LATER PAINTED AND ELI SEEN IN CALMERS GALLERY . TODD BEING LOCKED UP FOR 8 YEARS JUST COVERED FOR THE MURDER HE COMMITED AND OTHER CRIMES PRE 2003 . NOW TODD OWES VICTOR FOR SHOOTING HIM ,SOMETHING HIS MOTHER BRAINWASHED HIM TO DO, BUT WANTED TO DO ANYWAY , HE IS SO SELF INVOLVED HE JUST COULDN'T GET THAT VICTOR WAS BRAINWASHED TOO, AND TO LIVE WITH HIS CRIMES HE HAD COMMITED ,THAT VICTOR WAS INNOCENT OF , IRENE WANTED HIM DEAD B/C UNLIKE TODD SHE COULD NOT GET HIM TO KILL ANYONE ,SO FIRST SHE HAD BAKER SHOOT HIM THAN TODD. IT IS WONDERFUL HE IS ALIVE , NORA EVEN TOLD RH TODD THAT VICTOR WAS A BETTER MAN THEN HIM AND SHE IS RIGHT.

SORRY, TODD RUBBED OFF HIS FINGERPRINTS OFF THE DOOR NOB JACKS KEYS AND DORIAN 'S GUN THAT HE USED TO SHOOT VICTOR THAN GAVE TO LOUIE,IRENES MEN MUST HAVE BEEN WATCHING TODD DO WHAT HIS MOTHER TOLD HIM TO DO , SHOT LOUIE WHO WEARING TODDS BULLET PROOF VEST.SO HE SURVIVED, ,THE EMTS MUST HAVE BEEN WORKING FOR IRENE , THEY DECLAIRED VICTOR DEAD WAY TOO SOON. IRENE PROBABLY WANTED VICTOR TO MAKE HER PART OF HIS WILL. HE WOULD HAVE LEFT EVERYTHING TO HIS FAMILY .HE LEFT THEM XMAS GIFTS WHEN HE THOUGHT TEA MIGHT KICK HIM OUT B/C HE WASN'T TODD ,HID THEM WITH THE XMAS DECORATIONS , RON SAID IT WAS TODD ,IN ALL THE MAGS FALL PREVIEWS IN OCT , SO HE DID IT. !EVEN DANI TELLING STARR TO PLAY SOLITAIRE IN PRISON .WAS A HINT THAT THE BRAINWASHED SON WAS A ASSASSIN , IN THE MOVIE AND BOOK ,THE MOTHER HAD HER BRAINWASHED SON PLAY SOLITAIRE ,THE QUEEN OF DIAMOMDS TOLD HIM TO GO KILL SOMEONE, ,IN THE END THE SON NOT BEING ABLE TO HANDLE IT INSTEAD OF KILLING WHO HE WAS SUPPOSE TO ,HE KILLED HIS MOTHER STEP FATHER AND HIMSELF, AT LEAST READ THE BOOK "THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE ."RINGLEADER . RON THOUGHT WE'D GET IT,

Posted by jorie at Saturday, January 14 2012 06:08 PM

OH THE BOOK" THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE IS BY RICHARD CONDON , THE MOVIE NATE AND DANI SEEN AT THE THEATER WAS THE ONE WITH DENZIL WASHINGTONN LIEV SCHRIBBER ,THE ONE NATE GAVE DANI FOR HER BIRTHDAY WHICH WAS A CLUE TO US WHO KILLED VICTOR , HAD FRANK SINATRA AND LAURECE HARVEY ,THE FIRST MOTHER WAS ANGELA LANSBURY ,RHE SECOUND MERLYE STREEP.

Ringleader, great see you back on the board. Also, what a great analysis about Todd going to shoot Victor, but got there after the fact. From what I recall, you are an attorney and I love your stragedy and thought in coming up with this analysis. Time will tell all. My thought is how long will these characters stay on GH? Perhaps, the fear that GH will fold as well, has the director's, writer's trying every effort to save this soap and they may succeed.

I agree, the last weeks was amazing and if they had worked maybe a little harder our soap would have been saved!

oops, great seeing you on the board.... and "the last weeks were" ....

Well, some things never change. I'm not going to get into this fight with again, because somehow a reasoned discussion seems to be impossible with certain posters if someone DARES to say something bad about FauxTodd/Victor Jr. Everyone is free to believe that Victor felt remorse. Some posters clearly connected with TSJ's portrayal of Todd/Victor, but please don't attack those of us who felt differently. I have to say that the constant attack from the "TSJ mafia" against those of us who didn't like FauxTodd/Victor Jr. is one of the main reasons I stopped posting on this board -- because it just wasn't fun anymore.

I said that I didn't believe that Victor felt any remorse and that Todd did. Jorie obviously feels the opposite, which is no surprise. There are too many items in Jorie's post for me to address all of them individually, but to say that more was done to Victor in the 8 years than he did to others is so outrageous it's mindboggling. Frankly, and I feel this way about only a few characters like Mitch Lawrence, Sonny Corinthos (on GH), David Hayward (on AMC), and Victor Manning Jr., but IMO, they each deserved everything that happened to them 10 times over. Each and every one of the characters I listed brought all their troubles on themselves and rarely even got what they really deserved for their misdeeds. Again, that's JMO and others are absolutely entitled to think differently.

Hi lucetta! Thanks for the welcome back. Yes, I am an attorney (which is why the so-called "legal" storylines on these shows always drive me crazy) - but I secretly long to be a soap opera writer! LOL Time will tell how things work out, but I think it would be very funny to see the writers come up with a scenario where Todd really didn't shoot Victor - since they always seemed to come up with a way to get TSJ's Todd/Victor out of every horrible thing he did (or that they made us think he did - only to later come up with some outrageous scenario about how it was really someone else all along and poor, innocent Todd/Victor Jr. was simply the victim of some vicious plot against him). I think that would be great for its irony, but that's just me.

Seriously, stealing the plot from the Manchurian Candidate was Ron's great idea? No wonder this show crashed. If that's the case, why would we need to watch the show, when we could just read the book? For some reason, I expect writers (especially the headwriter) for daytime dramas to be a little more original than that. If all he can do is work that's derivative of someone else, it might be a good idea for him to find a new occupation. Perhaps there's a toilet somewhere that needs cleaning...
