Thank you Wanda Webb Wolek for the link to Erika's interview. I couldn't agree more with what she said about what people want to watch in the afternoon. I called OLTL my "candy for the brain". It was part of my daily or nightly (on Soapnet) routine, for most of the last 30 years and like any habit, it will make me go into withdrawal when it's taken away. My son says he'll buy me the whole DVD set when/if it ever comes out, but that's not the same. I really looked forward to every day in the lives of these OLTL characters. And reality shows? They are unreal, faked, drama with bad actors. ABC your taste is all in your collective mouths...

The one think I won't miss about the sad ending of OLTL is coming to this message board and seing the constant attacks in caps of RH from Jory, which are too annoying for words..We all get it Jory you hate RH and the only Todd for you is TSJ Todd.

Posted by lolaB at Monday, January 09 2012 02:22 AM, thanks for all the forums on your site. Without you guys/gals having the information of our favorite soaps whether, past or present, I truly can say I enjoy your site. Being able to post a rant or rave, I'm, truly thankful.....Hope you remain very relevant since it seems that the Soap Operas may be a thing of the past. Just wanted to speak how I value your service with everything on your site. Thanks once again, Lola.

I remember when Robin Strasser (Dorian) was on All My Children as a doctor and then went to OLTL. Not sure if her name was Dorian on AMC? Anyone remember? I can't believe Dorian won't be on this show for the last week......WHyyyyyyy?

Posted by Jaybear at Monday, January 09 2012 07:12 AM

lolab*** Robin played Dr. Christina karass Martin on amc. she was married to Jeff Martin. I think they broke-up when he fell for nurse Mary kennicott.

I know Jorie, but that poor boy was on that floor with that chandelier sticking out his chest for too long. John should have shot him as soon as it happened.

maja, Jorie types in caps for a reason. Not to yell at people. I would tell you the reason, but I can't remember what it was. lol

Nothing to do with RH either.

The final week has arrived and I for one am saddened. I have watch the soap since I was in middle school. I do not think “soaps” are a thing of the past, otherwise realty shows would not do so well. I am most upset that the writer of most soaps continued to think the same formula of writing will work from decade to decade. Women (men) who watch soaps come from all walks of life ..educated to the non educated and I feel that we the viewers deserved the upgrade in the quality of the story lines. ABC now has one soap left and they too continued to write in the same way. Lately it feels like General Hospital as a soap is “depressed” maybe they are starting to feel alone on the block who knows.. Anyways I have enjoyed reading the posts, Cowboy, you made me laugh so many times, and I did appreciate it!

I wish they'd brought back Ben so Viki could reuniet with him in heaven at the Crossroads bar. ES said in an interview once that of all her husbands, Ben was Viki's soul mate (not Clint as TV guide said).

I am glad they straightened out that stupid plot that Viki had twins by two different fathers. That had to be the stupidest story ever - even worse than Eterna or where Ivan Kipling tried to steal Larry Wolek's brain (well, hynotize him anyway).

I'd like to also thank the actors, writers and crew for 43 years of a mostly great show. It will be very difficult to come home from work next week with nothing to watch!
