    Destroying My Life's Work.

    Tuesday, August 09 2011
A surprising person holds the key, Nora confronts Nate, and Destiny is overheard...

At the Manning Estate, everyone questions how both Todds have the same DNA. "Two Todd Mannings?" Viki asks. John assures them the test was secure. They still think someone could've tampered with the results. Tea wonders if Tomas knows anyone who would. Dani arrives, stunned to see T.M. Blair holds Todd back when T.M. tells Dani that he's her father. As everyone tries to figure out how the Todds could have the same DNA, Starr interjects, "They must be twins." Jack suggests maybe they're clones. Both Todds refuse to believe they're brothers and demand another test. Samples are taken. Everyone gets ready to leave. Jack wants to stay. Blair agrees to let him come back later if it's okay with Tea and Todd. Dani rushes off, refusing to talk to T.M. Todd's irked to hear Viki posted T.M.'s bail and is taking him to Llanfair. She reminds Todd they'll all get answers tomorrow, to which T.M. replies, "Then I'll get my life back." Later, Tea grabs a drink, reminds Todd she's still there and anticipates the test results tomorrow.

Blair brings Starr and Jack home. The kids argue over who their father is. Starr knows that Blair isn't so sure about who the real Todd is either. Blair anticipates the test results tomorrow.

Viki and T.M. enter Llanfair. He thanks her for taking him in and asks, "What if I am some kind of crazy stranger?" Viki doesn't believe he is and thinks only Irene Manning can give them answers as to why there are two Todd Mannings. Unfortunately, she's been dead for years.

Agent Baker enters a room at the agency. A woman, hidden behind a desk, holds photos of both Todds and questions whether Baker destroyed her life's work. She hopes there's time to fix things, as Baker blames John's interference for not being able to contain the fugitive. She takes some Pepto and rants about having to cash in favors to arrange Baker's release. He doesn't want to draw further attention to them. She reminds him of how much attention a trial would bring and says, "When they learn the truth, we'll all pay the price." She rants that Baker let him escape, especially since he didn't get any useful information out of him for eight years. Baker thinks there's one way to salvage this and brings up John's DNA test, with hopes he has shared the results by now. Irene Manning stands up and approaches Baker.

Nora arrives at Nate's and tears into him for what he did to Matthew. Nate pleads with Nora. It wasn't his plan to hurt Matthew like this. "It's not going to bring my son back," Nora snaps. Nate reminds her that Matthew's actions won't bring his father back either. Nate wanted to kill Eddie himself but couldn't. Matthew did and almost sent him to prison. He snapped and hit Matthew but would give anything to take it back. Nate prays for Matthew's recovery every night. "So do I," Nora cries. Nate wonders what Nora's going to do to him. Nora knows Matthew will be implicated should Nate's motive for hitting him come out. Nate doesn't think any of it has to come out. He offers to submit a new statement, leaving out what Matthew did to Eddie. Nora won't have a hand in perjury but promises not to prosecute Nate. She believes how sorry he is but cries, "That's not enough." Later, Dani arrives, hysterical and says, "I needed you." Nate holds her close.

At the Evans' home, Mrs. Evans is stunned Destiny's asking for her consent to have an abortion. Destiny begs her to sign the form. Mrs. Evans vows to be there for Destiny and holds her as she cries. She apologizes for lying about Destiny's paternity. Destiny apologizes too. Mrs. Evans wonders who knows about the pregnancy. She's stunned to hear Matthew is the father. She reminds Destiny abortion isn't her only option. Destiny isn't ready to be a mom and has made her decision. After Destiny agrees to allow her to be there for the procedure, Mrs. Evans signs the consent form. She invites Destiny to come home. Destiny agrees but has one thing to do first.

David airs a private screening of "Vicker Man" for a comatose Matthew at the facility. David begs Matthew to wake up. They all need him. Matthew's the real Buchanan deal. "You're the future of our family," David cries."You can't let Nate Salinger get away with this." Destiny arrives. After David hugs her, he suggests they take a spinning class together to trim the waistline. Destiny asks for some time alone with Matthew. After David leaves, Destiny tells Matthew she's decided not to have their baby. Nora overhears from the doorway.

Nora had the nerve to say Inez has no ethics. Look in the mirror Nora and watch it crack.

Loved how Nate told Nora that nothing can bring his father back either. Never heard so much quiet from that hypocrite.

Nate gave Nora a confession. Everything she needed to prosecute him, but of course she couldn't. That would mean turning in her murderous son. How nice of Nate to say he would re-write it and leave everything about Matthew out. He truly was sorry.

I'm glad Destiny and her grandmother made up. Oh well, Nora knows about the baby. No abortion for Destiny.

So Irene Manning is behind this two Todd storyline. Sounds like a twin thing to me.

I was thinking the same as Jack, that the two Todd's were cloned.

tHE ONLY REASON INEZ DID WHAT SHE DID WAS B/C cLINT BULLIED HER INTO IT,I ALWAYS FELT SHE NEVER DATED AFTER EDDIE ,HER PRIORTY WAS NATE ,THEN SHE TRUST CLINT .SHE'LL NEVER TRUST AGAIN, Nora is worse !I KNEW NATE WAS A MENCHE! NORA SHOULD KNOW WHAT THAT IS ,ANYWAY ,I KNEW IRENE WAS INVOLVED !AND THAT TSJ IS TODD.!I'M SO GLAD DESTINEY IS BACK WITH HER MOM/GRAN,BUT WHATEVER SHE DESIDES ,IT HAS TO BE HER CHOICE.IT WAS GREAT TODAY.

I HOPE THEY ARE TWINS, NOT THAT THE FUGITIVE IS A CLONE,BUT AS LONG AS TSJ IS TODD ,!IT'S OK AND THAT ,,,, BLAIR CAN HAVE HIM,JACK KNOWS WHO HIS FATHER IS AND I'M GLAD DANI WALKED AWAY FROM THE FUGITIVE.

I haven't posted for a while but I have something to say about RH Todd. He is not the real Todd Manning, he just thinks that he is. Ever since he came on the scene every time he has had a memory it has been a photograph and when he was talking to Tea behind bars it was Tea who was remembering the beach while he was talking. He himself has never had an actual memory, just pictures.

From day one this guy has repeated his relationships to him self like someone who has been briefed about another person's life. "I have a wife. Her name is Blair. I have another wife. Her name is Tea. I have a daughter. Her name is Starr." Who does that like ever?

I know I don't sit around saying, "I have a husband. His name is Jonah. I have a daughter..." I mean seriously.

Not only that, but he is way too affectionate. Todd no matter old or new would be furious that Blair, Tea and Starr didn't know the difference between him and an impostor. Look at how he reacted when he came home to find Blair with Patrick even though she thought he was dead.

It's like he is romanticizing everything like Talking to Tea about the incident on the beach like he didn't abandon her there and how come when he saw Todd and Marty talking he didn't recognize Marty. Marty played a huge part in his past yet he was only concerned with Todd pretending to be "him" and never gave Marty a second thought. That doesn't sound right because him raping Marty has always haunted him.

    I'm just saying...

Best line: Jack saying he'd heard about a woman in Springfield who was cloned. An "in" dig at Guiding Light. LOL

Irene Manning faked her death 30 years ago? Nobody ever stays dead on soaps, do they?

Posted by Diana8254 at Tuesday, August 09 2011 12:25 PM

I didn't see Irene Manning being behind the two Todd's. I wonder if Baker changed the DNA but they don't know the test was redone. I think Starr was right twins. But how can they both have the same memories.

Ya know, all this mess with Matthew, Nate, Inez, etc etc etc is Clint's fault...

HBS is fantastic as Nora, a loving mother and a hypocrite at the same time.
