While the show began as a half hour soap, it soon evolved to forty-five minutes in 1976 then finally reached its one hour timeslot in 1978. Over the years, and many Emmy Awards later, families such as the Lord’s, the Siegel’s, the Wolek’s, the Riley’s and, most notoriously, the Buchanan’s have brought us storylines filled with passion, scandal and sometimes more heartache than we can handle! However, in the end, for thirty-nine years, fans have remained faithful with promise to pass along their love for the show through many generations to come!
Soaps.com wants to congratulate, Executive Producer Frank Valentini, Head Writer Ron Carlivati and all the cast and crew who make One Life to Live
and Llanview a place to call home, a place where friends become lovers and bitter enemies become confidants, a place where for one hour out of the day, fans can escape into a world filled with excitement – leaving us all begging for more!
