Former "One Life To Live" actress Kearran Giovanni, who played Dr. Vivian Wright off and on from 2009 to 2012, has been cast in a new TNT spinoff. "Major Crimes," which spins off of the network's original series "Closer," will have Kearran playing an ambitious undercover detective.
The series stars Mary McDonnell ("Closer," Grey's Anatomy, "As The World Turns") and already has ten episodes planned. "Closer" ends its run during season 7 but expect "Major Crimes" to pick up where the series left off surrounding the LAPD. Look for the TNT drama to premiere this summer 2012.
Aside from her Llanview role, Kearran appeared in the January 18, 2012 episode of "Royal Pains." If you want to know what else is happening in Primetime television visit Soaps.com's Primetime Dish every Thursday for the latest scoops.
