    The final years in Llanview…

The final decade of "One Life To Live" had longtime viewers following past and new storylines, new viewers jumping onboard the Llanview train into the new millennium and all of us shocked that it would be the last time we would ever see our beloved ABC soap opera. Let's take a look at some of our favorite moments of the last decade…

Characters to remember in the early 2000s included the arrival of Lindsay Rappaport's sister, Melanie, and her husband Colin Maciver. After Colin became obsessed with Nora, and helped Lindsay keep her captive, a fatal fall down the stairs, courtesy of Nora, put this doctor out of commission for good. Imagine everyone's surprise when Colin's twin brother, Troy, arrived in Llanview. Watch a clip of one of Colin's last days…

Fan favorite Gabrielle Medina reappeared in Llanview and set her sights on Max and Bo. In May 2002 storylines such as Niki Smith reappearing in order to block out Viki's memories of rape, Todd selling baby Jack out from under Blair, and Antonio sleeping with Liz, Keri's mother, were broadcast live. And who could forget Lindsay's rebellious daughter, Jen. If you have, or weren't watching back then, check out when Jen told Riley she wanted to be more than friends. Inadvertently, Riley's father, Daniel Colson, ended up murdering Jen.

Mitch had Jessica and Natalie kidnapped in order to figure out which one could be a match for Victor Lord, who had faked his death and was fighting a heart condition. Natalie was saved from being Victor's donor and later everyone had thought Jessica killed Mitch after hitting him over the head. As we all know, Mitch would return several times and wasn't truly killed until January 2012 when Natalie put a bullet in his chest. Relive Viki's reaction to Victor being alive…

Many fell in and out of love in the 2000s. Tina's daughter Sarah kissed her cousin Joey, Marcie lost Al and later fell in love with Michael McBain, who was said to be Al reincarnated. John McBain fell for Natalie while investigating a case for the FBI. Cris lost his memory, and Natalie too, during this time. Margaret Cochran became obsessed with Todd and later raped him. Jessica fell for Nash, as Tess, and broke Antonio Vega's heart. Starr and Cole shared a memorable love story, considering Cole was the son of the woman Starr's father had raped. There were too many great love stories to mention in the last decade, but let's revisit the first time 'Sole' had sex, which led to a huge teen pregnancy storyline for ABC…

One storyline we'll never forget was Todd's Execution. Thanks to 'Mz. Tee' for posting this montage video of the emotions leading up to what could've been the end for Todd, at the time, and Victor Manning Jr. altogether…

We don't need a reminder of how the last year the show was on air panned out. Sadly, due to a decline in ratings, as well as the economy, "One Life To Live" reached its end when the show aired its finale on Friday January 13, 2011.

Todd's execution is probably the scene I'll remember the most. TSJ and everybody else did the acting of their lives when they shot that, accompanied by the haunting music.
This thing you've put up with the loud abrasive music and being unable to hear the 'Todd's' dialog was extremely disappointing. Why didn't you just go with the scene as it played ?
