    The Natalie Effect.

    Thursday, December 29 2011

In John's office, Gigi taunts Jack about seeing a ghost. Gigi wants to finish what she started the night she planned to confront Jack and warns, "I'm going to kick your scrawny ass." Tea demands Gigi back off but is glad she's okay. Gigi wonders if Jack's glad. Shane says Jack's not worth it. Out in the station, John and Natalie discuss Jack. Natalie thinks Tea's going to have a hard time getting Jack out of this one and says, "Not unless she can raise the dead." Gigi appears and says, "It's me." Natalie and John hug Gigi, stunned she's alive. Natalie knows Rex must be beside himself. Gigi confirms but admits he's off tying up some loose ends. After John leaves, Gigi comments on how lighter John seems and wonders if he's on medication or if it's 'the Natalie effect'. Suddenly, Gigi blurts out that Liam is John's son. She remembers what was on the tape she had. Natalie already knows. Gigi's surprised Natalie and John aren't back together and warns that life's too short. Back in John's office, Tea and Jack hug. Gigi's alive, which means Jack's out of the woods. John appears and says, "I wouldn't go that far." Tea asks Jack to wait outside then warns that Jack can't be tried for Stacy's murder. The chain of events that happened after Jack locked Gigi in the basement was interrupted by Stacy. Tea demands John concentrate on charging Todd for Victor's murder. John plans to make Jack pay for locking Gigi up to begin with. Outside, Jack stops Gigi before she and Shane leave. He's glad she's alive and apologizes for everything he did to them. "Tell that to my sister," Gigi says and leaves with Shane. Natalie appears with a few choice words for Jack. Later, just as Natalie and John are prepared to talk, he's called away. They make plans to spend New Year's together.

Todd brings Blair to the mansion. He thinks Neela was following orders from Rex and vows revenge. Blair suggests they help Tea build a case for their son. Todd wonders when Tea and Blair became so close. Blair reflects and urges Todd to cut Tea some slack. Later, alone, Todd thinks back to recent confrontations with Tea then whispers, "Tea knows I killed Victor." He recalls the time Tea's spending with John and thinks he knows too. Todd throws a glass dish. Blair rejoins him and listens as Todd claims his upset is due to Jack. He's beyond repair. Blair snaps, "Jack needs a father who believes in him!" Todd apologizes and wishes he could make Jack love him. "You stand behind Jack," Blair says. "And I'll stand behind you." Just as Todd says he wants Tea fired, Tea appears with Jack and questions his motives. Blair minimizes Todd's words. Tea shares that Gigi's alive. Todd notes, "He's not a murderer." Tea whispers, "It makes one of you."

There's No Other Bad Girl For Me.

Jack's happy to see Neela at the jail. He fears she'll be charged as an accessory for not coming forward with the knowledge of his taped confession, which the cops have. Neela admits she recorded him because Shane asked her to. Jack can't believe Neela did this to him. She tries to defend her actions. "Get out," Jack screams. "You backstabbing bitch, get away from me!"

In his office, John tells Tea Shane asked Neela to help him prove Jack had gotten away with murder and says, "Apparently, he was right." Out in the station, Todd tells Blair someone set Jack up and vows not to let them get away with it. "What're you going to do, Todd? Kill them? You would, wouldn't you?" Tea says from John's doorway. Todd questions if Tea thinks he killed someone. John stops Tea from elaborating. Tea admits that Neela set Jack up and says, "Jack could be in big trouble." He could be facing a murder charge. Blair defends Jack. He didn't mean to hurt anyone and shouldn't pay with his life. "Like Gigi Morasco did?" John asks. Tea sends Todd and Blair home and insists on talking to Jack alone. When Jack's brought in, John gives Tea some time alone with her client in his office. She promises to do everything to help him. Jack feels stupid for trusting Neela. As Tea warns Jack not to say a word about Neela, Shane barges in to surprise John. Gigi appears. Jack and Tea are the ones surprised.

Blair visits Jack in jail. He's afraid and wonders what's going to happen to him. Now that Victor's dead, Jack thinks Brad ratted him out. Blair notes this is the first time Jack's admitted he caused Gigi's death. She screams at Jack for his lack of remorse and how he's treated Todd. "The only time you show interest in me is when I'm in trouble," Jack snaps, claiming Victor was the only one who knew and cared about him. "I was always one kid too many for you." Blair loves all of her kids equally. Jack has a good family and has no idea what it's like to grow up alone, like Blair did. Before Blair leaves, Jack admits what happened to Gigi was an accident. He never meant for anyone to get hurt.

Todd approaches Jack in jail. John has a tape of him confessing. Jack doesn't think it's possible. Todd heard it for himself. Someone set him up. "Give me a name," Todd urges. "I'll deal with the son-of-a-bitch." Jack thinks the tape is a fake and thanks Todd for helping him. Later, just as Jack denies to himself that Neela would ever turn him in, Neela appears.

    Now We Know... You're Gigi.

Back in Llanview, at the mansion, Sam rushes off to check for Santa on the roof. Starr comforts Blair over losing Tomas and suggests he's not the man Blair's supposed to end up with. Blair wonders if she thinks Todd is. Jack and Todd arrive with gifts. Starr and Blair are surprised to hear Jack invited Todd. Starr takes a call from Dani then talks to Jack about Neela. Sam reappears. Does Todd know where Santa is? He showed up last year.

At the Manning Estate, Tea urges John to go be with Natalie and to not put off making things right. Time is precious. After John leaves, Dani joins Tea, who urges Dani to be careful about getting too close to Todd. He has a habit of hurting the people he's closest to. They hear caroling and find Blair, Starr, Jack, and Sam outside. After a toast to Victor, Sam begs Blair to bring him home to see Santa. Jack promises Santa will show up, as Dani slips Starr a gift for Todd. Later, Dani finds gifts that Victor left for them. Tea reads a note from Victor, claiming if she's reading this, he's gone but will never stop loving her.

When Sam, Blair, Jack and Starr return to the mansion, they see Santa by the tree. Later, Todd joins them. Blair privately thanks him for making Sam's night then Starr gives Todd Dani's gift. Just as Jack calls Neela to thank her for being there for him, John appears and places Jack under arrest for Gigi's murder.

While Jack's in the bathroom at The Sun, Neela takes a call from Shane. Did she get Jack to confess? Neela holds the taped confession. Shane begs her to meet him then hangs up. Out in the hall, Jack runs into Todd, who asks what's wrong. Jack thinks about his confession to Neela, who appears. She has to leave. Todd gives them some time. Jack wonders if she's leaving because of what he said. Neela denies it but pulls away when Jack tries to kiss her goodbye. Jack rejoins Todd and claims he doesn't need him. He has Neela. Todd understands Jack's upset… It's the holidays and he's missing Victor. Jack interrupts and apologizes. He knows Todd didn't kill Victor. He gives Jack money to buy Neela a Christmas present. After all Neela's done for him, Jack wants to buy her something nice. He thanks Todd then asks him to spend Christmas with their family. Todd accepts. "You were going to make me invite you eventually," Jack says.
