At the airport, Rex looks at the book Del Fina gave him. Every page reads 'Don't Give Up'. There aren't enough open seats on the flight to Llanview, so Rex agrees to stay behind. Gigi and Cutter arrive in another area. After Cutter leaves to pay up at the motel, Del Fina sits next to Gigi, who thinks he looks familiar. Like Rex, she's subconsciously recalling Del Fina's father as the man who help her and Rex travel back through time. They talk, to which Del Fina shares his motto, "Don't ever give up." Later, Cutter returns and finds Gigi gone.
Inside their room, Rex and Shane talk about celebrating Gigi and moving on. They flip through Christmas movies. Shane comments that they're all about families who are alone. Rex admits he invited Aubrey to spend the holidays with them. Shane senses that Aubrey's becoming important to Rex and assures him it's okay. He wants Rex to be happy. Later, Rex checks in with Aubrey, who promises to have his house in the Christmas spirit. He thanks her, hangs up then looks around the empty room.
Viki and Charlie are stunned to see each other at the Bon Jour Café. He wonders what she's doing working there. They talk about Gigi and Noelle's new pie. Viki offered to help out when the new waitress flew the coop. They catch up over Charlie's new construction firm and how he's rebuilt his life. Charlie apologizes for how things turned out between them. She fills him in on the family back in Llanview. Seeing Viki in the waitress uniform, Charlie wondered if she was running away from her life again. Charlie urges Viki to open up. Viki admits her troubles with Clint and how he kissed her. "Are you still in love with Clint?" Charlie asks and urges Viki not to give up on Clint just because she's afraid of getting hurt again. Like Charlie hurt her. Is Viki going to keep running away from happiness or toward it with Clint?
Rex finds Shane at the diner. Shane wonders why Rex lied to him about the real reason he went to Rio. Rex admits he saw Gigi again. This time she was real. Shane is stunned to hear that Stacy is alive and running around with his mom's face. He worries about how Rex feels and can't hold back his desperate need for revenge against Jack. Rex urges Shane to let this go, for his own sake. Over talk of Noelle naming her new pie after Gigi, and the pie contest in Paris, Texas, Rex recalls rediscovering Gigi there. Neela appears. After introductions, Rex gives them some time. Neela assures Shane that Jack's sorry for his past behavior. Shane doesn't buy it. Neela agrees to keep trying and leaves. Nearby, Rex recalls running into Gigi in Paris after all of those years apart. He asks Shane if he wants to honor his mom by visiting the Bon Jour Café. Outside, Neela happily accepts another date with Jack and stares through the window at Shane.
Roxy cries at the salon about her soap being cancelled. "It's just a TV show," Rama replies. Roxy objects. "Fraternity Row" is part of her family! Rama offers Roxy a drink. Roxy refuses and leaves to try to save her soap. Aubrey appears. She knows Rama and Cutter framed Kim for murder. Rex is important to Aubrey. Therefore, she needs Rama to help get Kim out of jail, so they can find the Gigi lookalike. Aubrey reminds Rama how she helped her when Vimal was upset over her relationship with Cris. Rama warns Aubrey will be sending Cutter to jail in Kim's place. Outside the salon, Shane continues to blame Jack for his mom's death. Neela doesn't think she can help Shane. He knows she's the only person who can get Jack to confess. A lot of people were hurt by what Jack did. Shane suggests Neela go to Jack with a hidden recorder. Neela calls Jack and makes plan for a date. Shane hands over a recorder.
At the diner, Noelle misses a cup as she pours water, watching her favorite soap. Shane helps Noelle clean up, as she talks about the annual pie contest at the Bon Jour Café. She's leaving for Texas tonight and has a special pie in the oven. When Shane smells smoke, Noelle rushes into the kitchen. Her pie is ruined. Shane isn't sure why Noelle needs another win. Everyone knows she's a great baker. Noelle talks about her new pie and says, "I call it the Gigi Morasco Special." Shane helps Noelle make another pie. They talk about their memories of Gigi and of being at the Bon Jour Café. Shane wishes he could've written a better ending for his mom. He brings up Neela and how she likes Jack. Noelle assures Shane Neela will see through Jack. Later, Viki appears. Noelle wonders what's wrong. "Clint Buchanan," Viki snaps.
Jack enters the classroom. Neela admits she and Shane were talking about how his mother died. Jack tries to be sensitive, but Shane only wants the person responsible for his mother's death to pay. Shane leaves. Jack assumes Shane was badmouthing him to Neela. He admits to bullying Shane and how things got out of hand. Jack feels horrible for what he did. Neela hopes Jack's changed. Later, Shane confronts Neela. He accuses her of knowing something about Jack. Neela thought she'd met her prince in Jack. He can't be the same person Shane's speaking of. "You need to know what kind of guy Jack really is," Shane warns. Jack appears and asks Neela out. Neela looks at Shane and claims Vimal wouldn't approve.
Dani confronts Jack by his locker with a copy of The Sun. Has Jack changing his mind about Todd now that the cops are looking for Tomas? Jack knows Tomas has an alibi. Dani recalls how Tomas and Claude were trying to get rid of Victor. Jack doesn't know if Tomas would kill his sister's husband. Dani isn't so sure. She urges Jack to give Todd a break. "Don't count on it," he replies. In a classroom, Shane tells Neela that Jack murdered his mom. Jack's father made it so one of Jack's friends went to jail for it. Neela thinks back to Jack setting the fire at The Sun. She asks how Shane's mother died. Shane tells Neela everything. Jack never had to own up to what he'd done. Neela knows a different side of Jack but remembers him saying something about 'the last time' someone got hurt. Shane wonders if Neela knows something. Jack appears.
At Llanfair, Natalie tells Liam that John will always be his dad, but right now she's better off without him. Shane appears. Natalie's happy to hear Shane and Clint have been spending time together. Talk turns to Rex. Shane thinks he went to Rio because of his mom. He wants to punish Jack. Natalie begs Shane, "No more violence." Shane reassures her. Though Gigi would want him to forgive Jack, Shane never will.
Vimal and Rama bring Neela to school. Neela hopes she's in some of Jack's classes. Just as they ask if Neela knows anyone else who could've started the fire at The Sun, Rama and Vimal are called away to John's office. Jack appears. Neela admits her brother just left and is being questioned about the fire. She promises Jack she won't reveal his involvement. Neela heads to class and meets Shane. When he hears Neela's friends with Jack, Shane admits, "Jack Manning murdered my mother." At his locker, Jack looks at the headline about Tomas in The Sun.
