Forced to join Lee at the Palace, Lee reminds Gigi to pull in her feistiness and relax with a drink. After Gigi takes a quick sip, Lee claims he would never harm a child and reminds her in a roundabout way to stay quiet. Although Gigi thinks Lee wants her to leave Llanview, Lee clarifies, “Oh, no, I want you and Shane to stay right here.” Lee claims he just wants to take care of Gigi then shocks her with his knowledge of her entire life – and how quickly it can all be taken away! Taking her hand, Lee says, “With me as your friend, you have a lot to gain.” Scared, Gigi has no choice but to promise that she won’t leave town.
At the Palace bar, Antonio delivers Allison’s case file to Lee and is reminded by his new boss that the bad guys are who he says they are!
Over The Edge!
Back inside, as Lee starts throwing around orders, Viki tries to calm Natalie and Nora and Lindsay continue to argue, until they see Jessica leaning over the edge!
As everyone rushes out onto the balcony, Charlie, with the help of Bo, manages to pull Jared up and over the railing safely! Hidden emotions fill the night as Natalie and Jared make eye contact, as Viki smiles at Charlie with admiration and as Rex shouts to the world, “This man, my dad, is a hero!”
Later, back in the dining room, just as Natalie tells Jess she feels bad for causing Allison’s death, Lee appears, tells them she’s still breathing them asks if they were the ones who broke Allison out of St. Ann’s! As Nora comes to their rescue, Lee leaves with a warning for her to enjoy her job while she can! Across the room, after Dorian hears from Lindsay that Charlie saved Jared, Dorian goes to Viki and taunts, “As for Charlie’s bravery… I think it’s really admirable for him to risk his life for someone he hardly knows.”
Seeing Jared walk in, Natalie rushes to his side, thanks him for saving Jessica’s life then listens on as Jared calls the room’s attention with, “There’s something I need everyone to know.” With a sigh, Dorian says to herself, “Here it goes…”
I Have A Secret!
After the mayor introduces Lee as the new commissioner of police, Lee takes the stage and accepts graciously! As Lee rants on with a speech about how he’s going to turn Llanview around, Llanview residents, Rex for one, wants to know why this is happening. Just as Lee wraps up with a smile aimed at Gigi, Gigi panics and tries to leave in hopes of protecting Shane. However, Viki stops her with concern – just as Lee approaches to introduce himself!
Though Viki tries to convince Gigi to stay, she makes a quick exit – and Lee follows with a roundabout threat! Although Gigi assures Lee she’s not going to cause him any trouble, Lee upsets Gigi with the knowledge of knowing Shane’s whereabouts!
When Bo approaches Lee and warns that he’ll find out what he has on the mayor, Lee acts calm, says he won’t lose any sleep over Bo’s threats then walks away.
After Todd and Blair lay into the mayor for his actions – and remind him how Lee has killed and has tried to kill again – Dorian approaches them and backs up Blair and Todd’s claims. After the mayor leaves, Lee joins Todd and Blair and tells Blair how Todd shot at a woman and her son. However, Blair doesn’t act surprised seeing how Todd already confessed his part in the shooting – or lack there of.
