    Markko is at the diner looking sadly at the announcement for Llanview High's graduation. Viki and Charlie join him. They're happy Markko was released then take a seat. Charlie and Viki argue over Dorian and David. James is at the counter calling the hospital about Ford. Markko approaches and asks, "What do you want with that scum." Markko shows him The Sun headline. James realizes Markko had been charged in the case. He claims not to know Ford other than for his journalism reputation at Llanview U. James is thinking about enrolling.

    Starr stops by the diner to apologize to Markko for not telling him about Ford and Langston. Markko thinks Langston should have told him herself. He hugs Starr and offers his congratulations on graduation.

    Everyone arrives at the high school for the graduation. Starr assures Matthew it's okay if he leaves. She heard about him and Dani. Blair approaches Tea and apologizes for Todd finding out. Todd gets a call from The Sun but Kelly agrees to go check out the lead. Starr and Langston talk about what's happened and end things with a hug. From across the room the man after James arrives! The graduation ceremony begins. Just as Langston is called up to give her speech Markko arrives. She sees him and continues with her speech. The most important thing she's learned is to take responsibility for her mistakes. "I'm so sorry," Langston cries and looks at Markko. Everyone in the crowd appears to relate to her 'owning up' speech. Markko rushes off and Langston is dismissed from the podium. The diplomas are handed out with Jessica's name mistakenly called first!

    Langston catches up with Markko in the hallway. She tells him again how sorry she is. Markko walks away.

    Markko sees Langston at the station. She's just finished writing her statement and says, "I can't let you pay for something I did." John recants her previous confession and Langston agrees to everything he says. "Well then, it looks like we have a problem," John says. He and Brody leave Markko and Langston alone. Langston admits to Markko that she didn't attack Ford.

    Tea arrives at the station where Brody announces both Markko and Langston's release. Langston calls out to Markko but he says, "We're done." Markko leaves with Tea.

    Down in the jail Markko assures his parents that the police are wrong. He didn't kill Ford and needs them on his side! He can explain why Ford's blood was on his shoes! After they leave to get Tea Cole asks Markko, "What's really going on?" A cop comes in to usher Markko upstairs.

    Markko enters John's office. John's on his side and says there's new evidence. He thinks Markko is innocent. He wants Markko to work with him and explain how Ford's blood got on his shoes. Markko admits he went to Ford's apartment and screamed for him to get out of bed. He shook Ford then saw the blood everywhere. On his hands and shoes. He thought Ford was dead. Markko panicked but swears he didn't do it. John opens the door and shows him that someone else confessed. Markko sees Langston!

    In jail Cole tells Markko he's sorry about what happened with Langston and Ford. Cole admits he knew about Langston's affair. Markko blames himself for not seeing the signs. Cole would've lost it if he'd found Starr with another guy. "I did," Markko replies. "I've got to tell you… all of it." Markko admits he wanted Ford dead. As Markko continues to explain his parents appear with Tea. She explains Markko's arraignment. Markko's mother can't believe they think he killed someone. "I wouldn't," Markko says. "I didn't try to kill Ford. I'm innocent!" Cole looks suspicious.

    Brody arrests Markko at the diner for the attempted murder of Ford. Langston blurts out, "You can't arrest Markko for something he didn't do!" She claims Markko is the kindest person she knows. Tea hushes her then rants at Brody about the circumstantial evidence. "We have an eyewitness who saw him do it," Brody admits. A regular customer saw Markko throw the shoes out. Markko turns away Langston's apologies then is led off. Tea makes it clear the only way Langston can help Markko is if she knows who really tried to kill Ford.
