Tomas snickers over Blair's comment. He doesn't think it's fair to stereotype the entire male race. It'd be sad to miss out on true love. Langston wonders if they're still talking about her and Ford. Tomas urges Langston to give Ford a chance to explain before she writes him off for good. Langston tries to call Ford but gets no answer. Before Langston leaves, Tomas impresses Blair by giving Langston a rose for Valentine's Day. Suddenly, Ford calls and cancels on her. Inside Capricorn, Langston impatiently waits for Ford at the bar. Tomas joins Blair and admits he's there to see her. Roxy told him she was scheduled to sing tonight. When Blair admits her piano man didn't show, Tomas says, "I happen to play the piano." He gives her a sampling of his work. Blair agrees to let him play for her in exchange for a glass of wine later. While Tomas looks over the music, Blair joins Langston and bashes Ford. Langston reminds Blair not every guy is out to hurt them. "I hope you're right," Blair replies, looking at Tomas. Langston calls Ford and hears a woman say, "I'm waiting." He denies being with anyone and promises, "I'm on my way." Blair sings "Dream of Our Own," as Tomas plays the piano. Once the song's over, Tomas and Blair talk about their love of music. Tomas suggests he should leave. He's heading back to Paris tomorrow.

Back outside, Tess wants to share her plan with Ford on how he'll be able to see his son and orders him to leave with her. As they walk away, Langston comes out of the bar and sees Ford rushing off hand in hand with a blonde!

Blair reminds Cris the last thing she needs is a man in her life. Later, Tomas appears. Blair smiles as they make eye contact. Across the room, a guy hits on Langston, who makes it clear she's waiting for her date. Langston joins Starr and vents about the creepy guy bugging her. Starr wonders where Ford is. "I guess he got held up," Langston replies. Over talk of James, Starr thinks back on how they met and admits, "Things would've never worked out." Langston urges Starr to tell James how she really feels. Again, Langston wonders where Ford is. She reflects on how much Ford has changed and how good he was with Hope. Once alone, Langston credits Ford as the reason Starr and James aren't together. He's the one who pushed James toward Michelle. Ford offers to tell James Starr and Cole are over. Starr returns and makes Ford promise not to say anything. She doesn't want to ruin James' happiness with Michelle. Ford promises then leaves to get ready for his date with Langston, who pushes Starr to tell James the truth regardless. Starr changes the subject to Langston and Ford. She's happy for them, due to their uncomplicated relationship. Langston shows Starr the dress she plans to wear. Starr is excited for Langston, who's sorry things didn't go the way Starr planned.

Langston feels bad Clint couldn't help Ford get his job back. Ford only wants to concentrate on their Valentine's date. He leans in for a kiss. Langston can't kiss Ford dressed like that and says, "You're a giant wiener!" After Ford takes off the costume, Langston fills him in on Starr breaking up with Cole for James. Ford knows James will be happy. He'd wait forever to be with Starr. Langston watches as Ford plays with Hope and comments on how good he is with kids. Talk turns to Jessica. Ford can't help but think how things would've been different had her baby turned out to be his. He knows they would've never allowed him around the baby anyway. Besides, Brody's the father, not him, so it doesn't matter. Later, Starr arrives. Langston privately asks if she's going out with James for Valentine's Day. Starr tells her no. James is sleeping with Michelle! In the other room, Ford looks at Hope's toys and thinks about what kind of father he would've been.
