Blanca reports from The Palace, as Dorian and David arrive on the red carpet. Dorian's wearing 'Gammie' (as in head of "OLTL" wardrobe Susan Gammie) and becomes upset when Ionia arrives in the same gown. The women trade barbs then go their separate ways. Dorian and David find Markko and inform him they had to make some changes in the final cut. Rick joins Blanca, who doesn't know who he is. "You will very soon," Rick assures. Across the room, Ford had hoped he'd be at his own premiere by now, not waiting tables at one. Talk turns to Deanna leaving. Ford wonders how she got the twenty grand to pay the lawyer then alerts Nate to the 'porno guy'. Nate rushes over to Rick, with Ford following. Ford suspects Nate took part in Rick's film and warns him about doing porn. He'll never get any respect as an actor. Dani appears and asks, "What's going on?" Nate claims Ford's depressed about not be part of the film. Markko joins them and thanks Ford for his success. Ford was a good teacher. Markko takes a few more jabs at Ford then walks off. Vimal arrives with his parents, who wonder where Rama is. Just as he's about to tell them the truth, Rama appears with an evident baby-bump. The Patels rub her tummy then go for drinks. "Lucky for you," Rama tells Vimal. "Cristian Vega got me pregnant." She asked Cris to help her so Rama could help Vimal. He questions her motives but halts further conversation when Mrs. Patel reappears. Blanca questions the Mannings. Starr, Baz, Blair and Tomas join them. Blair wonders if Todd recognizes her earrings. He doesn't, but Tomas does. When John arrives, Blair excuses herself. "You have something to tell me about Todd Manning?" John questions Tomas. Dorian takes the stage and introduces the film. The lights dim. "Someday it's going to be you up there," Dani whispers to Nate. "Vicker Man" begins then stops. "We seem to be having a technical difficulty," Dorian apologizes. The film restarts but "Hold The Diploma" airs instead. Everyone gasps and watches as Nate drops his graduation gown onscreen.
At the park, Ford tells James about his afternoon with Jessica, Ryder and Bree and says, "We had fun." James worries Ford will get hurt and warns that Tess isn't coming back. Tess is a part of Jessica. Ford can see Tess in her. James urges Ford to move on. Ford brings up James' troubles with Deanna. She isn't an issue for him and Starr anymore. Deanna went looking for her mom. James admits they have a new issue, Baz. James has been working extra shifts to pay the bills, which leaves Starr spending more time with Baz on music. Ford orders James not to work over anymore. He'll take care of the electric bill. In another area, Starr pulls away from Baz's kiss. She has a boyfriend! "You kissed me too," Baz objects. She denies it and slaps Baz across the face. He continues to pursue her. Starr loves James, calls Baz arrogant and insists he show some respect or forget about hanging out with her. He apologizes and asks for forgiveness. She relents. Baz wonders if she's going to tell James about this. "Tell James what?" James asks from behind them. Starr covers and leaves with James. Baz watches them go.
In the park, Baz and Starr talk about how stressed out their dads are. "I'm scared, and I don't even know what of," Starr admits. Baz brings up finding the strange man with his father and the threats exchanged between them. After Blair calls and cancels plans with Starr, they continue walking and talk about their love of reptiles. Starr remembers her dad used to take her to Reptile Roundup. Once she found a man tied to a wheel there and no one believed her, like Sam. Later, Baz spontaneously kisses Starr.
By the pool, Todd's clearly on edge as everyone helps to make Sam's day perfect. Later, Starr catches Todd screaming at Sam, who calls Spider Man a hero. "He's a fake!" Todd yells and warns Sam to call him if the man comes back. Sam plans to see Spider Man whenever he wants and heads inside. Starr brings up the man with his old face. Todd thinks Sam's lying and screams, "I'm your father. Whoever this guy is with the line on his face, it doesn't matter. He isn't Todd Manning." Starr never said he was. Todd apologizes. He's worried about their family. He gets a text. After Starr leaves, Baker appears. Todd asks who the guy with his old face is and why he thinks Todd stole his life. Baker assures Todd the man is dead.
Starr runs into Baz in the park and shares the conversation she had with Todd. It was as though her father was afraid of losing them all.
Inside the Manning Estate, Jack apologizes to Blair over his comment about Sam not being her real son then bashes John's investigative skills. Tea and Dani try reassuring Blair, as Starr and Baz speculate on their fathers' connection. Baz approaches Tomas and demands to know what he's hiding. Across the room, Tea privately questions Dani about why she was at the motel then drops it at Dani's persistence. Outside, T.M aims a gun at Todd and orders him to open the door. T.M. wants Tea and Blair to decide who the real Todd Manning is. Agent Baker appears and holds a gun on T.M., who warns Todd that Baker almost killed Sam, trying to kill him. When the agent threatens to execute Todd's family if T.M. doesn't cooperate, Todd orders T.M. to do as the agent says. T.M. puts a gun on Todd, accuses him and Baker of working together and vows to take his life back. Baker insists T.M. isn't Todd Manning. After another agent knocks T.M. out from behind, Baker tells Todd, "You're welcome." Todd wants answers about the man with his old face, but Baker warns him to pretend this never happened. T.M. is dragged away. Suddenly, Todd's cell rings. It's Tea, who hears the ring from inside. She opens the door and almost catches Todd with Agent Baker. As she pulls Todd inside, Blair screams, "They found Sam." John appears with Sam. The family gushes over Sam. John informs them that Sam's kidnapper was the man with Todd's old face, Sam's friend. Later, Blair rants to Todd about the kidnapper still being on the loose. Todd appears disturbed.
Back at the Manning Estate, Tea tells everyone Todd went to look for Sam. He promised to bring Sam home. Jack insensitively reminds Blair that Sam isn't really her son. Tomas comforts Blair. Nearby, Baz and Starr comment on Tomas' reaction to hearing about Sam's friend with the scar. John appears and questions Tomas about the symbol found in his, Todd's and the dead man's file. Tomas suggests they ask Todd. Jack defends Todd and admits someone attacked him at The Sun. Todd didn't want to upset anyone and thinks it was someone from a company that bought a satellite out from under him, Origami Cogs. Dani arrives and hears Sam's missing. She relays how she thought she heard his voice in room 103 at the Minute Man Motel. John rushes off. Later, T.M. and Todd appear outside the door.
Everyone searches the Manning Estate for Sam. Blair goes outside and finds the man who was supposed to play Spider Man. He claims he was knocked out. Everyone wonders who was wearing the Spider Man costume and where the person took Sam. Blair calls John, who arrives soon after with Natalie. Though none of Sam's family remembers Spider Man talking, Baz remembers him saying, "My pleasure," when Todd asked him to 'shoot' while taking the family photo. John thinks Sam's kidnapping is connected to the John Doe found at Dorian's. Todd privately takes a call from T.M., who claims he's Spider Man and says, "I have your son." He warns Todd they'll be doing things his way. If Todd tells anyone, he'll never see Sam again. Tea appears. Todd claims he's going to meet his investigator and promises to check back in. Todd leaves, as Blair tells everyone else that Sam claims his friend is a man with Todd's old face. Privately, John and Natalie discuss Sam's friend. Natalie wonders what John's thinking and says, "It's not like there could be two Todd Mannings."
Outside the Manning Estate, T.M. drags away the man dressed in the Spider Man costume. Jack appears and enters the house. He assures Blair Dorian is on her way and wouldn't miss Sam's party. Across the room, everyone notices the tension between Todd and Tomas. T.M, dressed as Spider Man, bangs on the door until Todd answers. He doesn't speak, as Todd orders him to make sure his son has a good time and threatens, "Or I can replace you just like that." Sam rushes to Spider Man, as everyone gushes over the entertainment. Spider Man makes a sign. Sam informs everyone that he's expressing his spidey sense for danger. T.M. listens as Todd and Jack whisper about the attack at the office. Todd thinks it was someone from Origami Cogs. Sam and Spider Man put on a show for everyone. Tomas stares at the superhero. By the staircase, just as Blair's about to tell Tea who Sam's imaginary friend is Starr interrupts, looking for the camera. After everyone poses for photos, Blair and Tea want one taken with Spider Man too. Blair jokes with Todd to watch it, as Tea gets cozy with Spider Man. "My heart belongs to Todd Manning," Tea replies then goes to Todd. Todd tells Spider Man to go climb some walls then addresses his family. He never wants to lose any of them and realizes he's lucky to have survived the gunshot. Todd calls Spiderman over to take a family photo for him. "Take the picture!" Todd screams. "Shoot!" T.M. whispers, "My pleasure," takes the picture then agrees to watch Sam while everyone goes to get a surprise. Soon after, they all return and find Sam and Spider Man gone.
Outside at Dorian's, Baz tells Starr that their fathers are hiding something. Tomas told Todd he knows him better than Tea. He knows who Todd really is. Baz thinks Tomas shot Todd, who's covering for him. "Why would he do that for someone who tried to kill him?" Starr asks. She admits Todd's been a bit off since the shooting and reveals the encrypted files on their fathers. Starr realizes they're going to be late for Sam's party.
