You are SO right about those long threads. Lante Express, I mean, really, come on. Lante Express? 1147 page thread? I had to enter the thread to find out what a Lante Express was. Pretty sorry excuse for the remain.ing ABC soap that has a cluttered message board coo-ing endlessly about make believe couples. |

Quote palmes: 1). I tried this week but lost interest fast. GH sux. 2). Seems the oltl story will revolve around Starr. 'nuff said there. She and that whole teen set, Cole, Langston, Fords, Baz, Deanna, et al were a complete waste of time the last 2 years. 4). Pairing John with Sam? Ugh! If these 2 were so awesome together then why was PC cancelled? 5) inflates GH ratings which artificially makes ABC daytime overall ratings look competitive. REASONS TO WATCH GENERAL HOSPITAL 1. Any scene with a Quartermaine 2. Scrubs 3. Any scene with the great Luke Spencer 4. Great pairs, Alexis and Diane, Maxie and Lulu, Tracy and anyone, Luke and anyone. Granted it was better before it became Mobster General, when the Spencers, Cassidines, Baldwin s and Webbers ruled the GH corridors. But it's still a great soap. I hope they don't muck it up with Starr and her teen angst crap, or breaking up JaSam for JoSam. The PCPD could use a cracker jack detective like John but what in the heck will Todd and Blair be doing? |

So it would appear that General Hospital under Ron and Frank's stewardship is going from gangSta to gangStarr? |

Quote MitchDisciple: So it would appear that General Hospital under Ron and Frank's stewardship is going from gangSta to gangStarr? Your words are well played! Now, here is hoping GH does NOT turn into the Starr and Michael show..... And, I am sure it won't! Too many other story lines to deal with. Starr will simply be a another little fish is a big pond. Don't get me wrong, I wish her well and look forward to seeing her on GH, but (for me) it would have been more entertaining to have her come on as a different character. Playing Starr is all KA has ever done (to my knowledge). It would have been interesting to see her play another role. |

Maybe I have a suspicious mind but couldn't they give Starr's story to another ingenue already on this show? It seems like another ABC dirty trick to hook viewers to a show they've already plan to cancel. They played us like fools with AMC's California move and OLTL's Prospect Park move. |

Hi! Brand new Newbie here! I've been watching OLTL and GH since my faves GL and ATWT were both yanked off the air, with OLTL becoming my favorite. I think the OLTL crossover is simply a ratings trick since it is FEBRUARY, and that is a sweeps month. I watch GH, but since Lucky left, only occasionally. The mob stuff is sooooo boring and personally I think Sonny is a ratbas****. However, all things being equal, it is clear that television networks have it in for soaps altogether. It is the end of the genre, sad to say. Whether any OLTL members stick around on GH after Sweeps remains to be seen. So, in light of the fact that it looks like The End Is Near for soaps as a genre, I will probably watch as long as I can. But I think ABC is dangling a carrot here with the OLTL "crossover." A means of throwing crumbs to the most ardent OLTL fans. Guess I'm just cynical enough to think it is a trick. What say you? |

Quote MikeLikesSoaps: Quote palmes: Quote SoapyGrl11: GH was always my favorite afternoon soap until the "Mob" took over. GH should have been renamed to Wiseguy, Mobsters Rule, or something, nothing about a hospital, its doctors, staff, or their families. Thats when I stopped watching long ago. Same here. Loved it when it revolved around the Spencers, Scorpios, Quatermaines, Robin, Lois, Ned, Brenda, Stone, Lucy, Kevin, Scotty, Bobbie, etc. Now its pretty much unwatchable in my view. They could rename it "All Sonny's Children", "My Life for Sonny", "As Sonny's World Turns", "Days of Sonny's Wives" The Name of the Soap Opera is General Children Have One Life To Live. Jody |

It has been a while since I watched GH. It was always on after OLTL, so I'd make a pot of coffee and enjoy the soaps. Nothing worth watching/DVR on ABC afternoon so off doing other things and found other intrests than watching tv. |
