As Cole takes a call from Starr, with the bug right above him in the window, John arrives at his apartment and shows him a message on his cell reading: Apartment is bugged! Starr gets nervous when Cole is quiet, asks if she should call the cops then agrees to sit tight until he gets back to her. John starts screaming at Cole, for the sake of the bug, about how he's been disrespecting his mother, then takes him into the hallway to discuss what he said to Starr. After Cole assures John that he didn't say Starr's name, they discuss the case - and John refuses to tell Cole the big drug lord's name - so he won't screw up. John reminds Cole of the bug and warns him to cut off all contact with Starr! Cole doesn't want these drug dealers anywhere near his girls then John promises to talk to Starr for him.
Todd makes a brief call to Tea then enters the diner just as Starr ends her call to Cole. Starr calls Todd annoying and assures him that Cole wouldn't do anything to screw up their lives again. Todd plays with Hope then suggests they go get her a lizard! Noticing Todd's good mood, Starr wonders how he could have sex with her mom but be so into Tea. Starr makes it clear that she doesn't have a problem with him and Tea - if he lays off of her and Cole.
Suddenly, John arrives, and Todd gives them some time alone. After John explains things to Starr, and asks her to tell people that her father won't let her see Cole, he says, "Cole told me to tell you that he loves you."
In an alley outside the diner, Kyle and Fish engage in a passionate kiss - and Cris appears asking, "Is this what you won’t tell Layla?" Though Fish pushes Kyle away, claiming he's been stalking him, Cris demands that he stop lying, says he doesn't care if he's gay but warns he must tell Layla! "Please don't let me be the one to do it," Cris says, as Fish warns Kyle never to come near him again! After Kyle replies, "Don't worry, we're done, Oliver," Fish leaves, and Kyle confides in Cris that none of what is going on is okay - but rather a huge mess. Kyle confirms all of Cris' suspicions then says, "You're almost worse than Oliver. You're lying to yourself if you think you don't have feelings for Layla." Cris denies it but still worries how Layla is going to take this news.
Back inside the diner, Nora shows Clint photos on her phone, from the wedding, then thanks him for going to the hearing with her today. When Clint gives her tickets for a honeymoon in the Caribbean, Nora says, "We can't go," reminding him that if Matthew wins his case they'll need to be there for his surgery. After Clint assures Nora that she'll win, she wonders if he bribed a judge - but Clint reminds her that her new attorney is the best - a real shark!
At the courthouse, a new lawyer named Elijah arrives, assures the person on the other end of his phone that everything is all set then sets out to meet his new clients…
Tea enters the courtroom, where Matthew and Destiny discuss possible outcomes of the case. As Tea joins the kids, who are talking about Nora and Bo's kiss, Tea says if they're keeping something from her, she needs to know about it! Though Matthew doesn't think what he knows will work to help him win the case, Tea convinces him to tell her, promising she won't tell anyone - and Matthew does, that Bo and Nora kissed the night before she married his Uncle Clint! Matthew again warns Tea not to use this against his parents, but Tea looks thoughtful and writes something down in 'lawyer shorthand' that only she will be able to know.
At the station, after Bo blows Layla off, she happily looks at the flowers that Fish sent her. When Fish arrives, she thanks him for the flowers then says she's changed her mind about their work relationship - she's proud to be his girl. Though Fish claims he has something to tell her, he says, "It can wait." Layla tells him to rest up for tonight - because Cris will be working very late! John walks past, asks to see Fish in his office then Fish kisses Layla saying, "It's a date."
Now in his office, Bo daydreams about his kiss with Nora until Rex arrives - and announces that Stacy is pregnant. Though Rex wonders if Bo would do the right thing, like he plans to do, Bo claims he's in no position to be anyone's role model. Over talk of Clint and Nora's wedding, Rex wonders why Bo didn't speak up about his feelings for Nora, to which Bo explains his visit to Lindsay then says that he ultimately couldn't hurt Clint - and how he hopes Clint never finds out. When Bo gets a call, saying his lawyer is there, Rex is shocked to hear that Matthew is suing him then the men wish each other luck with their problems.
Clint and Nora arrive at the station and meet with Bo and their new lawyer to discuss the case. Elijah assures them that he's very aware of Tea Delgado's work then promises, "She won't be a problem."
Later, Bo, Nora, Clint and their attorney arrive at the courthouse and face Matthew and Tea.
After Gigi pulls away from Schuyler's kiss, at the carriage house, saying how wrong it was, Schuyler apologizes then says any guy who chooses Stacy over her would be crazy. Gigi is surprised that Schuyler has feelings for her and reminds him that she loves Rex. Schuyler doesn't want to lose her as a friend and asks Gigi to forget what happened. As hard as it will be to forget that the kiss happened, Gigi doesn't want to lose him as a friend.
Just as Schuyler is leaving, saying they have a deal - zero weirdness - Rex appears and asks, "What's the deal, kids?" After Gigi claims that she and Schuyler just made a bet, Schuyler leaves - and Gigi admits to Rex that Schuyler just kissed her!
