Down in the morgue, Bo apologizes to Antonio for his loss then Antonio weeps, "Oh, God, Talia…" Holding Talia close, Antonio blames himself for leaving and says, "I left her alone. I let someone do this to her." Bo comforts Antonio and tells him to blame the person who stabbed her. Though Bo admits that they have a suspect, John, in custody, he says, "We don't think he's our guy."
In jail, after John tells Marty that he doesn't think Todd is the killer, Marty vows to help prove John's innocence. Though Antonio wants to find the killer himself, he has to get Jamie out of Llanview - away from the danger and the memories - then reminds him that John no longer has to follow the rules, as he's not a cop anymore. However, John says he can't do anything locked up. "That's why I'm going to take care of that," Antonio says - just as Bo appears to check in on them. Once Bo's gone, Antonio shakes John's hand, calls the guard then leaves - and John opens his hand and finds the key to his cell! As the guard walks past his cell, John waits till he's out of sight, unlocks the cell then walks out a free man!
Antonio goes back to the morgue, tells Talia to rest in peace, and says that he did what he had to do, then falls apart, holds her close and wonders how he's going to say goodbye.

After Rachel explains how prisons are full of drugs, and Cole would be an addict for the rest of his life, Cole asks, "So, are you turning me in?" and Rachel snaps, "That would be too easy." Rachel reminds Cole of his crimes, especially putting her brother in a wheelchair, then warns that this is his last chance and says, "You will never do another drug again! Are you in?" Cole agrees not to let her down.
