The votes are in, it's been decided, Michael "Mikey" Jerome is this season's I WANNA BE A SOAP STAR Winner! The 29-year-old is from Hicksville, New York. One Life to Live's chief executive producer Frank Valentini and the judges expressed repeatedly that Mickey was very likeable.

Here's how the final stages of the show went down... Before Mikey and runner-up Kelly McGarry's final performance, Cameron introduces them to One Life to Live's chief executive producer Frank Valentini, who in turn will become the winner's new boss. After they perform the scene, Frank and the judges give the couple their thoughts and ask that they perform a second time. With the final performance complete, the judges deliberate, reflecting back with Mr. Valentini on the contestants' progress throughout the competition. But it's still a tough decision, as the executive producer expresses that both actors have potential to fit into One Life to Live.

However, there can only be one winner. Surprising the contestants, they are asked to do an additional scene. With Mikey and Kelly leaning over a casket, Cameron, hiding inside, springs it open and jumps out, giving Mikey the news that he is this year's winner of I WANNA BE A SOAP STAR!

Be sure to watch One Life to Live today, August 11th, to witness Mikey's daytime debut!
