John-Paul attended school at Phoenixville High, then enrolled at Philadelphia's University of the Arts, studying music performance and specializing in the drums. He then went on to study acting at The School for Film and Television and Michael Howards Studio. Deborah Mathieu-Byers was his private studying coach.
Although his previous acting experiences include a small role on All My Children, Sex and the City, a Saturday Night Live skit, a Time Warner Cable commercial and various student films, John-Paul's role on One Life to Live is his first major acting job.
When his One Life to Live schedule permits, he performs at the Manhattan-based theater company, Streetlight Productions, which he is a member of. Besides his passions for acting and music, John-Paul enjoys tennis, skiing and golf. He also developed a fun talent for magic in high school.
