Porn show

Postby babysnooks » Tue Jun 18, 2013 1:57 pm

I'm no prude, but the episode with Colby/Petey having sex was just short of being pornographic. I've watched since the online version started and am really unhappy with the amount of profanity on this new version of show. It really is not necessary for the s/l. Does anyone else agree with me? *) *) *) *) *)

I totally agree. I hope the writers will clean things up.

Personally I like it. I think it seems more like real life. It's interesting to see the things they can do on the internet that they can't on t.v. It helps make the 2 shows better in my opinion. I'm sure they are not trying to be offensive. =)

I have a teenage son who actually watches the show with me sometimes. We saw the episode where Colby "performs" and my son thought it was pushing boundaries for a soap. He was actually grossed out by it and even at his young age asked me, "Mom, won't this sex stuff offend the older viewers who have watched this for 40 years? The young viewers won't like it either!" To me it was not appropriate, and I like some raunchy things...but not on AMC. So if the young and middle-aged are grossed out by this, who exactly is this for?

Well the soaps have always pushed limits. They are famous for having controversial story lines. I hope that never changes.

Thank, thank you, I thought I was the only one who was surprised with the amount of profanity and sex that is on the show. I realize that it can be done online now but it could be done tastefully. I have watched this show since it came on the air, and to hear Angie say bulls!!!!! was a shock. To see the young people (the adults too) in really intimate situations is like watching my grand kids having sex! I am glad the show is back but I am not ready for how they are "pushing limits". This does not make it interesting. What ever happened to imagination and good writers?

I respect everyone's opinion, but, I have to say, just because the young people like it, does not make it right or appealing to the folks who have been loyal viewers since the inception of AMC.

I'm catching up. I heard about that on Facebook. I'm not happy about having to see that. What episode was it? I'm going to scroll down and read comment while is happening. I don't want to see that. I don't want soaps for that.
