No rehearsal needed he just got up and started singing. Then forgot the words and his son helped him. It was so sweet.

I agree with you. NJ Soap Lady. I think many of us remember words to old songs, and then forget some of them. I am always singing parts of old songs, then think what comes next.

The performance was spur of the moment....he was not part of the entertainment. Thoughtfully after the altercation with Robert and Valentine, he decided to fill in.....also, he does have Alzheimer's but the disease has not fully taken over...the song was great and I enjoyed Sonny filling in with his dad....

Yes. I can start singing oldies and forget some words. I'm a fan of 40 50 some 60 music

It was a sweet spontaneous gesture on Mike’s part and a touching save on Sonny’s part. Perfect.

It was truly great. I think Alzheimer's patients can be a bit impulsive, too. Just charging off on an idea. Plus Mike seems like was always a bit of an impulsive guy, so his disease probably enhances that. I thought his intentions were great though. And I loved how the director showed what was happening in Mike's head on stage and what was really happening. I thought it was a really poignant moment.
