Quote JaneDoe: I'm not a huge "adult" Robin fan, but I LOVED watching her grow up on my screen. I hate the way they are depicting her character now. To even have her consider leaving her family after all the time she was a way is ridiculous. I know they have to work around her schedule, but the writers are ruining her IMO. As viewers, the only way we can look at the character or story is the way it's being written and having her walk away from her family for the sake of a man and a little boy she just met is making her look bad. There are a number of options she could pursue, but she won't... because she's leaving. I'm not looking forward to witnessing the heartbreak this is going to cause Patrick and Emma. Up until now, Robin has been a "good" person. Now, she's going to be perceived as a woman who's willing to put everything else ABOVE her family and their happiness. It's sad really, but I think this will kill any love I had left for Robin's character. :~

I can understand that the actress wanted a do over so to speak bc they way they wrote her out in first time left too many questions. She had the chance to work with FH and TR, but why not just write in a death scene again this time more like Jason's without us seeing her alive 5 minutes later.
Actors always come back from the dead on soaps always. If she wants to play Robin she won't have people angry about the way she was written out.
She come can come back later when she can commit more time to the project.
Quote oltllover: I think tptb are doing this on purpose. the door will always be open for KMc but the only way to have Patrick move on and have any kind of interesting s/l they have to make us "angry" at Robin otherwise he will always be "attached" to her. She could be back in 6 months or not, the character of Patrick and therefore the actor needs to be able to do something other then wait around for her return.

That's a good point and I do think that if KMc intends to come and go if they allow her to, Patrick should move on. His stories should not be in limbo because his fellow actress is not available full time.
I think a more interesting approach would have been for Robin to have trouble adjusting to being back with her family after two years of absence. Maybe had her struggling to reacquainted herself and having trouble relating to Emma. THEN, maybe have her choose to leave Patrick and their marriage. They then could of had her go on extended "medical related trips". She could have shared custody with Patrick and he could have moved on and she could still be portrayed as a person who loves her family, but did what was best for everyone. Now she's going to look like a heartless abandon-er. %(
I do however LOVE that they are wanting her to revive Helz! That's the only plus to the story, but they could have figured out another way for Helz to return from the dead. >)

Oh I agree with everything, especially the last part. I said someone on this thread or another that I forgive Robin because she is bringing back the great Helena!!!!!!!!!!! >)
