Nice way to honor Veterans there Nikki

Postby AdamPhan » Mon Nov 11, 2013 2:04 pm

In your son's stinky, sleazy bar??????????

She makes such a big deal about Veterans and honor and thinks the best place to honor them is The Underground????

Surely there must have been some other venue in the fabled Genoa City that would have been far more appropriate than a night club/bar/dive with questionable power, questionable refrigerator mechanisms and probably questionable health safety standards.

But Victor's offer is something MORE corporations should do!

Yes, having Nikki speak with such sincerity, and Victor's offering up jobs, was certainly nicely played. What was missing, I thought, were all the American Flags typical of Veteran's Day.
Our thanks to all Vets, and prayers for the Wives and Mothers
of our military folks who have loved ones serving in terrible places and sacrificing so much.

ITA. I loved the nod to our vets today. Good job by Nikki/Victor/Y&R and CBS.

THANK YOU!

IMO it doesn't matter where it's done as long as it's done.

Thanks to the show for highlighting the vets :))

It was a nice message and gesture. However, I do believe that there should have been many more veterans in the
audience. It looked sparse.

As a wife of a Veteran I thought it was done nicely. I read that there were 12 actual veterans from the different branches of the military that were in the scene. Not just actors playing vets....very nice touch.

Most soldiers I know prefer a bar than a big gala event...I just appreciate the Y&R made the effort to celebrate the holiday.
