Quote calliope: Back a couple of years ago, before Adam, this board was full of moaning and groaning. "Where's Sharon", "The most beautiful Woman on this show is being ignored", "why doesn't Sharon get any story?" Well by golly, Sharon has been front and center for years now and her fans still moan and groan. Her story now is interesting, provokes discussion, puts her on screen almost daily. You want her back as little Sharon Collins? You get your wish and she fades to gray very quickly.
I like Sharon. I believe that the writers are writing new material to make the normally good and quiet characters that the viewers expect to remain in the original phase as the character was created to be and now making the characters behave "out-of-character" to boost ratings and/or create excitement to the storylines. Look at Lauren and Michael for example. Those two have the marriage that is lasting and with Carmine in the middle, it is to show the human nature part of good people making mistakes. The same for Lily and Cane. Now, they have Lily developing a romantic interest in Tyler. Again, I just think that the writers are trying to add excitement to the storylines and adding something different for the viewers to see. Sorry for the rant but I agree, I like Sharon but with her acting different and crazy, it adds excitement to her storylines.
