Bumpy The Camel

Postby Sydney9098 » Thu May 27, 2010 9:24 pm

So why would Reed, who is what 5 by now, and Delia, who just turned one, be into the exact same book?? 8) Billy & Vikki both run into each other at the bookstore trying to grab the last "Bumpy The Camel" book. It is either a very childish book for Reed, or it is a book that is going to be waaaay over Delia's head?? What every happened to Dr. Suess? Now those were some good books! :D :-) :D

I don't know about anybody else but I read booksto my children that were for older children and ones that were for their ages also. Until a child can read on their own, they just love having somebody read/tell them a story as much for the closeness and bonding as the story it's self. They will also come to understand by looking at the pictures if there are any.
It helps a child learn to read sooner and makes them interested in books.

I read to my kids all the time too lady. I just couldn't read them a book that was too far over their head because even though they liked to be read to, their didn't have a lot of patience to sit through a longer story when they were one. ;) Did you read Dr. Suess to your kids?
