Deconstructing Jorda's character

Postby daysforever » Sun Feb 16, 2014 8:28 am

Jordan is a pretty girl and likeable, but comments in other threads agree that she’s dull. Jordan and Rafe should be a hot couple, but sadly fall crap of an exciting romance. Removing her glasses moments before making love doesn’t do it. So far, her character is too shy, too cautious, and not fully developed. Granted, she has a big secret, but the writers have taken way too long to give us an exciting reveal that will commit us to her and Rafe. Perhaps by showing a few flashbacks of her life before Salem would set up what she’s hiding and the promise of a good storyline.

I agree that there is probably much in Jordan's history to explain why she is acting so guarded in her interaction with others--even (or especially) with Rafe, who obviously is very fond of her. If the writers would give us a little more clues as to why she acts in a way that some find "boring," maybe more viewers would be willing to give her a "chance." I am already on her side, but am impatient for this s/l to move faster.
