Quote Catz12: Since we cannot post links you will have to do a search for it online. But according to his friend Charlie Sheen, he broadcasted to the Days of Our Lives producers on national news just how he felt about the firing.
If true, that is a shame and we need to protest to get him back.
Charlie Sheen is just trying to get attention. That is what he does.
Chandler was not fired. He had asked the producers to release him from his contract early so he could start college this fall. He told them he was willing to stay until his contract expired in mid-December but if they found a recast for the role then he would leave earlier. They found someone for the recast and called Chandler in on Friday August 23 to film some scenes with the baby (it was supposed to be his day off) and he was then released from his contract effective immediately. It was a mutual decision according to Chandler from what he said at the fan event in Chicago and Atlanta this weekend. He did not expect them to find someone that fast so it was a shock but ultimately it is what he wanted. Days is dark for the next two weeks and will start filming again in September.
