Hello Everybody,
I have been enjoying your comments. I do not know if you have heard, but the Supreme Court is upholding North Carolina's discriminatory practice of drawing political maps.

You guys are gonna hate me but I am not a fan of Cory Booker. I believe it was during President Obama's run for reelection in 2012 and I saw Sen Booker on "Meet the Press." He was there to support the President but he made a comment that made the Democrats head explode. It was all about Cory that day, positioning himself for his future and not about promoting the President's second term which was allegedly why he was there . I remember thinking this guy is an opportunist and nothing he's done since has changed my mind, instead only reinforced my opinion.

I just think that Sen Booker would not be a strong candidate and the Democrats NEED a strong candidate in 2020. Now Kamala Harris, she's another story. She is a friggin' rock star. She wasn't over the top when questioning that slimy liar, Kirtsjen Nielsen. Kamala was cool as a cucumber, no yelling no drama just her super brain and courtroom experience showing through. She owned that snakey, smarmy Nielsen. Kirstjen Nielsen looks like she just stepped off a plane from Oslo and she "doesn't know" if Norway is predominantly white! GMAFB! Kamala busted her in the best way; exposing Nielsen as a liar or incompetent for her job. It was so satisfying to watch! Sen Harris is a force to be reckoned with. Kamala Harris 2020!!!!

I do not trust Kamala Harris and the others who I feel prematurely called for the resignation of Al Frankel who offered to undergo an ethics investigation. IMO, their action is the worse stereotype that chauvinists throw out to stifle lady-leaders, which is we are emotional, not cerebral. Moreover, I feel that it was un-American to asked for a resignation without an investigation. Personally, I find it odd that there are USO tour pictures and videos of Leanna Tweeden kissing an in-expecting soldier and her patting a man’s behind. She was wearing a flak jacket when Franken took his picture, but the guy had no behind protection when she took her picture. This situation reminds of women on a certain reality show calling each other the b-word, and then one of them is angry because she was called the word. The women who accused Roy Moore were clearly vetted and were trump supporters while we know that Tweeden is connected to Roger Stone and nothing about the other ones.

They seem to keep getting better at cheating and even have the Russians helping them whether they acknowledge it or not. There house of cards is coming down.

OMG, I need a boost in mood and outlook. The political news and outlook is too grim. I enjoy reading this board and appreciate the opinions expressed here. But, I have to say I don't trust any of them now. For me Cory Booker's speech was too dramatic and felt like a performance. For all I know he could have been genuine in his emotion and views, but it made me a little uncomfortable for him. I want a politician to be firm in his/her delivery of their thoughts, but not so emotional. If a woman had shown that much emotion she would have been labeled hysterical. I like Kamala Harris but would not support her for president because I don't think she could win. I want someone who is qualified but also has a chance of succeeding. Neither of then are ready for the job but then neither was Trump. Too much time is spent on speculation, like with the Oprah for president buzz. The next presidential election will be here and dems will still be throwing out names of people who don't have a chance.

I agree with another poster regarding the dems forcing Franken out. That was a dirty move. It was designed to take center stage and give the appearance of the party being above reproach. They didn't want it to look like they were just after Trump and would let one of their own slide so they threw Franken to the wolves. I'm Debbie Downer today and will say I don't have total trust in any of the members of congress at the moment because of the deals they make. I will never understand how these bills get combined with things that are ludicrous. For my way of thinking all bills should be separate subjects so that the public has a better understanding of what is going on. I'm sick of hearing about the shutdown, dreamers, DACA, , deported fathers, Trump, the porn star and all of his other freaky behaviors.

Since I don't have a therapist does anybody have any tips for getting through this political climate? No, I cannot afford an exotic vacation at this time.

Hello 2MuchTime, :D I'm a Jersey Lady, and I respect your opinion. Cory was a bit over the top, but he's a Jersey guy and a decent man and Senator, however I don't know if he as the "It Factor," to appeal on a national level to become President. Perhaps Vice President, to Joe Biden, might work. :geek: : I like Tamala Harris but unfortunately after 2016 I don't think this country will vote for a female President, no matter how superior her credentials are. That being said I would Support a Harris/Booker or Biden/Harris ticket for 2020. ;)

On a another political topic, Trump has continues his doddering way to Shut IT Down... examples..

Trump University...ShutDown! Trump Vodka............ ShutDown!

Trump Casinos......ShutDown! Trump Mortgage..... ShutDown!

Trump Airlines....... Shutdown! Trump Magazine....... ShutDown!

Trump Steaks......... ShutDown! Trump 1st and 2nd Marriages... ShutDown!

Trump and The Trumperteers in only 365 days in office.... GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN!! :o

The Trumperteers not funding CHIP since October, fixing DACA, the budget, and a host of other Federal programs.. proves.......

Trumpian Administration Should be ShutDown!!...

Despite Everything You and All Posters Have a good Weekend. 8-)
