I'll admit, I'm in my 60's, but it was required when I was young.
Trust me, there is no mention of healthcare or education. Neither are "Rights".
As for truancy laws, those are designed and enforced at the state and sometimes city level. Other than tracking cities where truancy is a problem, the Federal government has nothing to do with those laws.
me too- we could not pass on to high school unless we could pass a test on the Constitution and we had to be able to recite the Preamble, but back then we saluted the flag and recited the Pledge of Allegiance every morning before school started ):
