I'll admit, I'm in my 60's, but it was required when I was young. ;)

Trust me, there is no mention of healthcare or education. Neither are "Rights".

As for truancy laws, those are designed and enforced at the state and sometimes city level. Other than tracking cities where truancy is a problem, the Federal government has nothing to do with those laws.

me too- we could not pass on to high school unless we could pass a test on the Constitution and we had to be able to recite the Preamble, but back then we saluted the flag and recited the Pledge of Allegiance every morning before school started ):

My husband was listening to one of our local Conservative radio shows today and this guy who was in the military, said that you cannot have a medical disease when you enlist in the military, and stressed when you are in combat it's not like you can take medications for a condition on a daily basis, you may be out for weeks and a time and there isn't a Walgreen's on every corner in Iraq....The transgenders need to take hormones daily to keep their transgenderness going. That alone should disqualify them from the military. Could you imagine the transgender apocalypse if they didn't have their meds :o
