Fireworks at an EastEnders funeral. (BBC)
    Extended coverage.

Since Americans aren't the only ones with good soapy drama, Soaps.com has listened to our readers from across the pond who've requested we keep tabs on a few British and Australian soap operas. Take a look at what's going on with dramas from other parts of the world.

    EastEnders:
Spoiler alert: After banning murder suspect Andrew from Heather's funeral, Shirley discovers proof he is in fact innocent. As the two team up to find the real killer, an arrest is made at Heather's wake. Do the cops have the right man?

As Jean and Michael's friendship continues, he suggests she invest her lottery winnings. Is he just looking out for his new pal, or does Michael have something more devious in mind?

    Coronation Street:

Spoiler alert: Sunita takes in Karl, who's in the doghouse with Stella after she learns his gambling has gotten out of control. Believing Stella is done with him, he takes comfort in Sunita's arms and goes in for a kiss, just as Stella has decided to give Karl another chance. Oops.

As the people of Weatherfield say goodbye to Betty later this month, it's discovered that Annie Walker left The Rovers to Betty in her will, but Betty never acknowledged it. Now that it's known the late Betty is the rightful owner, what will it mean for Stella?

    Emmerdale:
Dominic Brunt (Paddy) and Mark Charnock (Marlon) are preparing for their fifth annual Leeds Zombie Film Festival on April 22. Held at the Cottage Road Cinema in Headingley, the actors will introduce six films over 12 hours. All profits will be donated to the World Society for the Protection of Animals. Audience members are expected to attend in their finest zombie garb.

    Spoiler alert:
Chas and Cameron can't ignore their feelings anymore and get down and dirty in The Woolpack cellar. Sounds romantic and all, but will they be able to keep their tryst a secret from Debbie?

Feeling guilty over Aaron taking the rap for the garage fire, Adam decides to tell the truth. He seems to be the only one bothered by the false confession as his mom Moira urges him to stay quiet and a Zen Aaron is confident things will work out. Wonder what they know that Adam doesn’t.

Home and Away. (Australia television Network)
    Hollyoaks:
There's been a few moves made behind the scenes on the Channel 4 soap: Former "EastEnders" story producer and "Emmerdale" series producer Kathleen Beedles is joining the British drama as a story consultant; Gareth Lemon has also returned to the soap as script producer after serving as senior script editor on "Coronation Street;" and "Hollyoaks" script editor Kate Hall has been promoted to series editor.

Following their three-month arc last year, the band Daytona Lights is slated to make another appearance on "Hollyoaks." They've reportedly filmed scenes at the Blue Planet Aquarium in Cheshire with other members of the soap.

    Spoiler alert:
Barney happily visits best pal Scott in London during Easter break, but quickly realizes all is not what it seems. What is Scott hiding? And who is Mitchell?

    Neighbours:

Ex-"Neighbours" actor Brett Tucker (Daniel) guest starred on ABC's "Castle" as a Scotland Yard detective working a case with Beckett (Stana Katic) on April 2.

Spoiler alert: Susan is in for a battle in the upcoming months as she tries to live on her own with multiple sclerosis. Not wanting to accept help from her estranged husband Karl when she has trouble with day-to-day tasks, she turns to Dr. Rhys for support. Can he help her maintain her independence?

Even though they're finally together, Michael and Emilia try to keep their relationship a secret, but Lucas forces their hand when he believes there's still hope for him and Emilia. When confronted, Michael is forced to admit to his best mate that he's with Emilia now. Awkward to say the least.

    Home and Away:
Former "All Saints'" Zoe, Allison Cratchley, has been cast as Harvey's ex-wife Mel. Word is she arrives in Summer Bay after her latest relationship falls apart. As to be expected, Mel will clash with Harvey's new love Roo.

Spoiler alert: The fun and games might be coming to an end for Casey and Henri when April discovers the student/teacher relationship. Henri mulls over quitting her job for her young love, but that might not be enough to satisfy Casey's brothers Heath (Henri's ex by the way) and Brax, should they find out. What's an inappropriately aged couple to do?
