Given the title some may ask, "How much more could they spice up the soaps?" Well, with an attempt to get more of what ABC is calling "The Millennials" or otherwise known as Generation Y (those born between 1980 and 1994) to watch, the network has kicked off a new campaign to add more spice to its soaps!

Headed by The Walt Disney Network, fans can expect to see stars promoting the three ABC soaps to include All My Children, General Hospital and One Life to Live. By means of television commercials, websites and magazines, Randolph Duke (fashion designer) will touch base on the style in Pine Valley, Billy Currington (country music star) will highlight the romance in Port Charles and Elizabeth Berkley (actress) will talk about the strong women in Llanview.

But that's not all! The network plans to use two other celebrities who fans may have never connected to the soap world: Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos) and Mel B (The Spice Girls). Could this be their way to lure the would-be, unexpected soap fan to tune into the ABC soaps? You bet!

Although we may be content with all of the hoopla that each of our favorite ABC soaps contain, others may have no idea what they're missing, and this is just the way to get them interested - through the eyes and thoughts of some of their favorite non-soapy stars! wants everyone to know that we welcome all soap fans and would-be fans to our site! So if you have a friend who is thinking about taking up 'soaps' as a hobby, we'd love to hear from them!

Vincent Pastore can be connected to soaps. He played Arthur on OLTL about 5 years ago, during Natalie's pool days, and leading up to Cristian's supposed death.

You're right ONELIFEandGH However, I think the show is aiming toward a group who may not remember that - rather remember him from his super popular role in the Sopranos.

    Have a great day!

I don't understand... This article is saying that ABC will be promoting OLTL but I've heard they may pull the show. Which is correct? I've been watching this show for over 20 years and would be devastated if they pulled it!
