This is sad news indeed! Beverly was one of my favourite actresses and her most memorable role was Iris Corey. I still remember when Mac first introduced her to Rachel on Another World! As a diehard Another World/Texas fan, I send my feartfelt condolences to her family. She always a great sense of class and style.

So sad to hear about the passing of Beverlee McKinsey. I never saw her on Another World or Texas, but definitely remember her as my favorite actress on Guiding Light. From her performance as Alexandra Spaulding, I believe she is hands down the best actress (or actor) ever in the history of daytime soaps. My prayers go out to her family, friends and fans. I truly hope that Guiding Light will do a retrospective on her time at that show.

A retrospective of Beverly's time on Guiding Light is a GREAT idea! She was wonderful as Alexandra Spaulding. The way that Guiding Light handled Michael Zaslow's, (Roger Thorpe), illness shows just how cruel they are. They fired him when he became ill, instead of working it into the story line, like One Life to Live did with him. After all the years of his great performance, that was how they rewarded him, so I doubt that they will have the good taste to even acknowledge Beverly's passing. I stopped watching that soap after they did that to him and I wish that it would have been taken off of the air.

Very Sad News Indeed...but your article is inaccurate: Ms. McKinsey's most famous and much lauded role is that of Iris Cory Carrington Delaney Bancroft Wheeler on Another World, from December 1972 until August 1, 1980. In November 1981, she received top billing for the Another World spin-off, Texas. After Texas, the producers of the Guiding Light sought her out for the role of Alexandra.

Steve_C - They did have Zaslow working while he had ALS. Remember he was in the wheelchair?
