    Soaps.com sends our congratulations to former As the World Turns' writers Susan Dansby, Lucky Gold, Janet Iacobuzio, Penelope Koechl, David Kreizman, Leah Laiman, David A. Levinson, Leslie Nipkow, Jean Passanante, Gordon Rayfield and David Smilow, who took home this year's Writers Guild award Saturday night.

    Yes, soap fans, the time has come for next year's 2011 Writers Guild of America Awards, which will take place on Saturday February 5, 2011 simultaneously at the AXA Equitable Center in New York City and at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel-Grand Ballroom in Los Angeles.

    The Daytime Serial nominees include:

    CBS soap opera As the World Turns (written by Susan Dansby, Lucky Gold, Janet Iacobuzio, Penelope Koechl, David Kreizman, Leah Laiman, David A. Levinson, Leslie Nipkow, Jean Passanante, Gordon Rayfield, and David Smilow).

    ABC's General Hospital (written by Meg Bennett, Nathan Fissell, David Goldschmid, Robert Guza, Jr., Karen Harris, Elizabeth Korte, Mary Sue Price, David F. Ryan, Tracey Thomson, Michele Val Jean, and Susan Wald).

    ABC sister soap One Life to Live (written by Shelly Altman, Ron Carlivati, Anna Theresa Cascio, Aida Croal, Carolyn Culliton, Frederick Johnson, Elizabeth Page, Gordon Rayfield, Melissa Salmons, Katherine Schock, Scott Sickles, Courtney Simon, and Chris VanEtten).

    All nominees are chosen based on the 2010 season for outstanding achievement in television, news, radio, promotional writing, and graphic animation. One Life to Live's Erica Slezak (Viki) will be one of the presenters this year. Soaps.com congratulates all of the shows on their nominations! We wish them all the best of luck!

    i think you ought to loose the phony accents on general hosp and one life to live, they are awful,cant stand to watch them 2.. loose them. yo can see the actors struggling to maintain the phone accent.rid them please. thank you.
