    Boyds Bear,
You are correct, we must continue watching Y&R, B&B and ATWT or they will fast go the same route that our beloved Guiding Light did and that would mean we are going to lose our soaps all the way around. We need to support the ones that are remaining, even if we do not like CBS...no other soap will replace Gl for many of us, but we need to help the other soaps out as much as we can...I did pretty good yesterday at 2 but today I went in to watch GL....going to take us all a little time to adjust it looks like!! And I truly hate it!!!

Shorty - I hope so, too that everyone continues to keep on watching the soaps that are left. I keep flipping the channel at 3:00 here out of habit. Going to be a hard habit to break. I have to admit, I don't like change, even though that old saying goes that change can be good. Not in this case, when you turn on the channel and our GL is replaced with the Price is Right. Never have been a fan of it, plus it's on twice now, once in the morning and afternoon. Just hate it!

Goodbye Guiding Light! Great writing and acting at the end. I too would have liked to have seen some closure with Jeffrey.
Skipperrose - I agree about the book, I bet it will be called "Phillip's Story" as Beth gave him the journal. GLandWT - Check out Young and the Restless,

I think it was obvious what happened to jeffery and edmund. I did hate the fact that they made natalia gay. It does say that being gay is a choice and your not born with it as so many have said and the mockery it made of her faith I always mutted those scenes and felt like if they thought that was going to boost ratings Wrong! G/L would not be the same without alan spalding and like so many others I doubt they will bring G/L back. This was my favorite soap even tho it was going down hill. How many times can you get excited about two people spliting up and getting back togeather over and over and over. What happened to a couple growing old togeather and enjoying their grandkids. I think soaps have become unrealistic and boring and I have no problem if they take them all off.

I watched The Guiding Light for 25 years and feel that something is missing in my day. These actors were like my extended family and I always wanted to know what was happening with them. God bless each of the cast and I sure would like to know what ech of them will do in the future.

Darn, I miss this show so much. I'm sitting here at 2:45 am and can't sleep tonight and I'm watching the final show again. At least Desperate Housewives came back on tonight. It is kinda squirrelly again though.

    I miss Buzz.

I miss all of them; especially Otalia and Daisy and Dinah.

I think as everyone else has said..CBS messed up big time...
I cant believe they are replacing a classic like the Guiding Light with a STUPID game show..
Leslie could have done more before pulling the plug. How about giving GL the best time slot on daytime TV? Many moms and family members have had to hit the work scene with the economy the way its been . Late afternoon was not the best time slot. Leslie(CBS) had history in the palm of his hand and went by a inaccurate rating system instead of the REAL fans and viewers. Does he know how many fans are going to turn to ABC now instead of CBS to follow GL's actors ? BIG MISTAKE LESLIE..I miss my 2nd family and all they represented.
Guiding Light was and still is the BEST. Thank you all the writters , actors and actressesfor all the wonderful years you gave all of us.

Here it is 9/30/09 and I'm still feeling the loss of GL. I get so restless every morning about 9:45am. I try to do other things but it is the longest hour until 11am. Bad decision CBS!
