    You Made Us A Family.

    Thursday, September 10 2009
Olivia and Nat move in together, Phillip and Alan recover and Lizzie sees her daughter.

At Cedars, the Spauldings anxiously wait for news about Phillip and Alan. Rick comes out and announces that the procedure went well but they are going to have to monitor things. They thank Rick. Everyone is relieved and hugs.

Daisy finds James sitting outside. He couldn't wait around inside any longer. James explains that he wanted to be the donor for his father but Phillip wouldn't let him. "I'm glad you didn't do it. I wouldn't want you to die," she says.

"Promise me to never do that again," Alan says as he and Phillip wake up. "Pretty tough to kill, huh?" Phillip jokes. Rick comes in and tells them that they are alive. "Thank your dad," he adds.

At Cross Creek, Reva decides to call Lizzie and tell her that her daughter is back. After hearing about the surgeries, she doesn't say anything. She and Josh play with the kids and she jokingly calls him 'gramps' and 'pepaw' and 'g-daddy'.

Jonathan goes to the graveyard to visit Tammy's grave. He tells her that he'll be around a lot more often now. He asks her to keep an eye on them.

Doris tracks down Olivia in Company and tells her that she told Ashlee the truth and doesn't know what to do now. Olivia advises her to give her daughter time. After Doris runs off, Olivia returns to Blake, Frank and Nat as they go through baby names. She explains that she's got everything ready to move back into the farm house, but, first, they need to tell Emma.

Ashlee and Rafe sit in the gazebo joking around about setting up their moms. He tells her that his mom is already with Olivia. Daisy drops by and they tell her that their mothers are lesbians. Daisy is shocked and tells her friend that she should probably talk to her mother after running off the way she did. Ashlee leaves and Daisy sits with Rafe but doesn't know what to say.

Olivia and Natalia tell Emma that they are moving back into the farm house. Taking Nat's hand, she says that they love each other and Nat will be like her other mommy. That's how Emma's always thought about it. She leans in to listen to Nat's belly. Frank, Rafe and Blake arrive to help Olivia move. They let Rafe and Frank carry their boxes.

Billy goes to see Buzz and asks for his help writing wedding vows. They sit down and try to figure something out. Buzz tells him to speak from his heart. They talk about Alan stepping up for Phillip and finally doing the right thing.

Ashlee goes to her mother's office. Doris sobs and apologizes for being a bad mom. Ashlee says she wasn't bad, she just put up a wall between them. She's angry that she never let her know her. Ashlee wants them to start getting to know each other now. They weep and hug.

Olivia runs into Jonathan in the minimart. He tells her that he'll be staying to cause trouble in her town. She tells him she's moving in with her girlfriend.

At Cedars, Rick tells the family that the patients are doing well. Alex goes in to see her brother. She tells him she would have thrown a ghastly overblown funeral just to spite him. He thanks her for looking out for him. She kisses him and stares into the next room where Lizzie is hugging her father.

Jonathan wanders outside the hospital looking for news on Alan. He bumps into James who informs him that he's doing okay.

Reva and Josh are at Company eating when Jonathan arrives. He tells them that Phillip and Alan are okay and they should go and see Lizzie.

James visits his grandfather. He brings him his phone, loaded with new apps to keep him entertained. He was afraid he wasn't going to make it. "I gotta get well so we can play frisbee again," Alan jokes.

Doris and Ashlee go to the farm house to help Olivia move in. Nat wants to make everyone dinner. Rafe and Frank decide they can play softball while she cooks. They break into teams. Josh arrives and they pull him in. James stops by and tells everyone that the procedure went well. Olivia takes Nat aside to say, "You did it. You made us a family."

Beth smiles at Phillip until he wakes up. She takes his hand and tells him he looks okay. They thank God... and Ed, then make fun of Rick and laugh. He was afraid he would never look into her eyes again. "You're stuck with me," she says.

Phillip and Alan are brought back together. They laugh about not dying and Phillip thanks his father. "You're welcome," Alan says.

Lillian drops by Buzz's to tell him Alan and Phillip are okay. She tells them how lucky they all are and then runs back to work. Frank sits with Billy and they toast to how lucky they are.

Reva and Jonathan drive up to Lizzie and Bill's and she's shocked when her little girl gets out of the car. She runs down the lawn to embrace her daughter. She takes Sarah for a walk and Bill asks him what the plan is. Jonathan is hoping he can stay. They shake on it.

Today's show was great. But, does anyone know "will the writers be able to end all open s/l's or will we never know what happens to all?" I can't imagine them letting all the fans just hang out in limbo. I don't see how they can close all the open s/l's in such a short time. We only have "5" days left. How SAD!!!

Hi: GLandWT, mom6, Gossipqueen75, Shorty1943, Vanillahere, and all.

Sunflower23, didn't mean to forget you, just signed off too fast. So, a special "HI" to you.

3Puppies - I agree with you. It seems like there are so many different stories it is hard to believe they will be able to wrap them all up in this short time. Even my husband (not a soap fan at all) thinks it is awful CBS is cancelling a show that has such a long history.

I almost turned off the show when Jonathan took Sarah to Lizzie. I knew I was going to bust out balling all over the place and I did. I hope Jonathon finally allows Lizzie to have her daughter. I am glad that we now have our Otalia. They seem to finally be totally together. The previews were almost as sad to watch. Allan was in the previews so maybe he doesn't die from the surgery after all. 5 more shows and it is still a shock.

It was a great show. Thank heavens they had the little people on today (Henry, Colin, and Sarah). They are all adorable and help break through the gloom that all the good things are going to end, hopefully to everyone's satisfaction. Whimper.

3 Puppies , You are so sweet , Im going to miss your postings, and everyone elses. I will miss G/L its the only soap I liked watching. The past few days it has been great, loved the way the writers brought back home to stay Johnnathan and Sara. I too wonder if they are going to close all loose ends but I dont think so. Im still hoping for Reva and Josh for ever.

Hi 3 Puppies, GlandWT, Julien,Vanillahere, mom of 6,and every one.

I really enjoyed the show today but that means we're one more day closer to the ending . . . forever, and I am dreading that so much. I'm so sad thinking about my GL family being taken away from me.
