You're Going To Have To Save Yourself.

    Wednesday, August 19 2009
Nat's plan isn't going as she'd hoped and Josh refuses to help Reva.

At Company, Marina complains to Blake about how they can't keep up with the rush. She's also worried about her father and thanks Blake for keeping things stable. Buzz arrives with bags full of souvenirs from New York.

Frank is taken aback when Nat informs him that she's pregnant. After an awkward pause, they both say they are happy. "Good because you're the father," she says. He says he'll be there for her and the baby. She explains that she has a plan – she wants to be with Olivia and they can all raise the child together. "That's some plan," he says. She knows it's unusual but she thinks it would be best for the baby. He disagrees and doesn't think the idea is in anyone's best interest.

Rafe finds Ashlee and Daisy sitting in the park. They tease Daisy about James. Rafe tells her that he knows about her and James and he's okay with it. Daisy decides that it would be fun to go and visit Reva. Before they can, Nat calls her son to tell him she's home. He runs off. Blake calls Ashlee and tells her they need to interview Buzz for the book.

Olivia shows up at Josh's and demands sex. She's a little over-enthusiastic and blurts out that she is doing this because she's in love with Natalia. That spoils the mood. She explains that they've been fighting it since Gus and were finally ready to move forward but Nat ran off. When she tries making out with him again, he tells her that this isn't what she wants. "One crazed woman in my life is one too many," he says. She needs a friend, not a lover and he can do that for her.

Marina calls to tell Frank that Buzz is back. Frank can't talk. "She told you, didn't she?" Olivia says as she approaches him. Neither of them knows what to do now. Olivia tells him he's a good guy and the baby needs a father. Nat already came to her but she rejected her. She demands to know if Frank loves Natalia. He still does. "Then fight for her," she says. "You will not fail because I won't let you," she insists. "You really love her," he observes. She tells him that Nat will marry him and be his problem now.

Rafe goes home to see his mother. He notices that she looks different. "You're going to be a big brother," she informs him. He tells her that she can marry Frank now. He interprets this as confirmation that Olivia is not the right thing for her. She insists that being with Olivia is the right thing because she loves her and wants her baby to be raised in a home with love. He reminds her that she raised him without a father or a lover, though he would have given anything to have a dad. He says that Olivia stole Gus' heart and she needs to realize that if she stays with Olivia, she will get hurt. "This is too much for me," he says, shaking his head and walking out.

Reva has a picnic inside Cross Creek, surrounded by pictures of Jeffrey. She talks about how it's been a year that they've been together and begins toasting and talking about how sexy Jeffrey was in a turtleneck. When she gets up to dance, she catches herself in the mirror and realizes how crazy this is. She runs outside, jumps in her car and drives away. When she stops beside the road, she shouts, "What am I supposed to do?"

She continues driving to the construction site. She jumps out and tells Josh that she needs him. "Not today," he says. She says that she's in pain and he has to help her. She's losing it, she admits, and she doesn't know who she is anymore. "I need you to save me!" she cries. He can't be drawn into her life again. She consumes his whole life and it terrifies him and wears him out. When that happens, they both lose. He's a mess right now and trying to save her would just destroy them both. "You're going to have to save yourself," he says.

Daisy and Ashlee arrive at Cross Creek. The door is wide open. They see the pictures of Jeffrey plastered everywhere and are stunned. "It's not normal... even for a widow," Daisy says. She doesn't think they should tell anyone though...not yet. They worry about the baby.

Frank goes to see Natalia. He finds her crying and she tells him that Rafe is upset. He explains that he was about to tell his family the news and asks her if she'd like to be there. "Yes," she sobs.

Rafe finds Olivia on the bridge. He tells her that she is 'done' and his mom will be with Frank. "You're going to be alone," he says. They argue. She tells him that Nat wants her and she's the one who said no.

Frank and Natalia arrive at Company and announce to the family that she is pregnant. Everyone is silent. The family finally yells their congratulations. More awkwardness follows.

Ashlee runs into Rafe with a six pack. He tells her that his mom is pregnant and a lesbian. Nat calls but he won't pick up.

Josh walks to the church but won't go inside.

Reva goes home and begins taking the photos off the wall before collapsing in tears.

Jonathan shocks his mother when he shows up.

Phillip prepares to tell his family that he is dying.

Elusive, ITA!!! I'm not a fan of Otalia by any means but who is he to judge her????

How long do you guys think Olivia will be able to continue to reject Nat? I see Franks heart getting broke all over again!!!!

Oh Reva honey, I'm glad you realized you are loosing it! Oh and why does Edmond blame Reva anyway????

A week or two ago I was praising the writing on GL; but that was befor you brought Nat back. For the most part I have liked the way you have handled this story, with all it's complexitys; and thought that surely you would not betray Nat's long history and strong faith. I could not beleive that any group of writers would agree to write a story that betrays such a wonderful friendship as thoes two women found. To try to tell women that they better not have a best friend in another woman without worrying about sending her mixed signels makes me sick. And then there is the issue of trying to justify her actions as what God wants for her. She said it best yesterday when the priest asked her if she foud out what God wanted and she said, better than that I have found out what I want--that should very clearly how self absorbed she has become that she would put her wants befor Gods. She never would have done that before. That is how she raised her son and I am very glad that you at least let him stay true to himself and God!! As for Frank; How could you do this in the last few weeks left of the show! You started out this time of knowing you were writing for the end of the show honering your fans with some very good wrap up stories; but now you want to leave us with Frank getting his heart broke yet one last time. Since his wife left the show you (and others befor you) have never let him be really happy. He deservess, and we who have supported you all these years deserve to see him happy. I really thought Nat would come back with her confusion and her values renewed and she and Frank would get married and the show would end with us thinking of them and there baby as one happy family.

I too take issue with the hateful comment against gays. Maybe this poster should keep hateful comments to herself or just don't post here at all.
I believe Olivia is finally acting in the best interest of what's right for Natalia and this unborn child. It's the most selfless thing I've ever seen from her. GREAT actors in this sensitive and controversial love story.
Frank also needs love back in his life. I just hope Natalia doesn't disappoint.
Rafe is not acting like a decent son.

Wowwwwwwww!!! I can't believe A posting I have read tonight. I have always loved CC (olivia) as a actress. I do believe she is just doing her job and doing it well. I don't agree with the stroyline but.... I did realize that people have the right to be who they are without being judged and I feel that we as viewers are allowed to voice our views. However, be careful what you say it may offend someone. Back to Nat, I can clearly see now that she does love Olivia and Rafe he will not understand till the very end about how she feels. Frank maybe he will get a chance maybe he won't I don't know but, if the writers are going the way I think they are Nat and Olivia will end up together. Is Nat confused? I don't think anymore. Will she marry Frank? No! why marry someone you don't love? I feel Olivia is being good for allowing Nat to do the right thing even if it's not what she really wants! I just want them to be friends! Don't destroy their friendship. Lastly, put yourselves in Rafe's shoes. How would you react?

Olivia needs to calm down and take Nat back while she still can. Olivia is acting about as goofy as Reva. And yes, Rafe is such a hateful little man.

I'd like to think that we as humans have learned to except people for who they are. If someone is gay who cares this is just a s\l or even in real life who cares. It is that person's choice. I for one think Otalia is a hot couple. The writers did this love story right. Except for Nat leaving w\o a word. Olivia deserved better than that. You cannot help who you love. As for Rafe he needs to grow up. His mother is in love and he should be happy for her. He had no right to go off on Olivia. I was hoping that Olivia would slap the crap out of him for talking to her that way. If he notices the only one that wants Frank is him.

Speaking as an agnostic (actually a Wiccan) myself, even I hate how Nat has become. I am sorry but I just don't like Father Ray at all, no offense intended, I just wish for once a alternative life style was NOT dashed on the floor I see nothing wrong with it. But what I do worry over is Nat becoming Olivia's stalker now.
