Hey GLfan85, sorry you had to miss 1 hour of a fictional story that you will see tomorrow. Michael Jackson not only changed the music indurstry, but his charitable contributions alone gave him entrance into the Guiness Book of World Records. He helped countless people all over the world who were hungry, poor and sick. Check out this list if you want to know what kind of a man he really was. www.allmichaeljackson.com/charities.html

He was a very, very, bad influence on young people if for no other reason he died from putting too many drugs in his body!!! Disregard the other horrible things that he did, or at least he was accused of, just because he gave money to charities does not do away with the fact that he died using drugs!!

It actually does not bother me to miss one hour of a fictional story, it does indeed bother me that they made a hero out of someone that was not even close to being one......they should have been paying homage to the men and women that have been killed fighting for out country this week and every week..........now there are some heros for you!!! They may not can carry a tune as he did, but they are protecting you and I on a daily basis!!!

It is not missing the fictional story that bothered me.It was the hypocritical media that when he was going threw his ordeal in our court system these were the same people that vilified and tourchered him mentaly are now putting him up for sainthood. Oh the hypocrisy.

    Julien,
That is exactly what MJ has said over and over. That he had no support from his so called friends, actors, singers, etc and that it was what broke his heart, his words not mine!! I am sure in the families grief, that did not enter the picture but it should have because it would not have been the way MJ would have wanted it.......he was shunned by the music world but boy did they come out yesterday in front of the whole world........that is the sad part about it all!!!!

    Sholsten,
Thank you for the web site. I just got though watching yesterday's episode. It was quite good. Sad but good. There were many tear jerk moments... I can't begin to imagine what Reva and Shayne must be feeling. I know it's a soap; however, things like this do happen in real life.

When Daisy received the $30,000.00 check, I thought to myself - it's from Cyrus. Then it occurred to me that Buzz's new stove was also from Cyrus. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that I was correct in my thinking.

    Hi 3Puppies, Julien, Mom6, Gossipqueen75, Vanillahere, Sunflower23, and all.

P.S. Buzz finally opened the package addressed to Coop. What's with all of those books? It seems like something Cyrus would be interested in - esp. the one titled "Diamond Heist". Is someone trying to tell Buzz something about Cyrus? Very interesting.

For those two people (and I use that term loosely) who felt like they would air their unfounded, bigoted, and totally disrespectful views on this forum, I would just like to point out a couple of things. First, Guiding Light is a soap opera. If you miss a day the world won't end. However, for many people (which obviously doesn't include the two of you) someone they loved, respected, and admired DIED. For three children, the man who cared for them and loved them the way our parents have done for us, is gone FOREVER. So before you go listing the supposed sins of Michael Jackson let's remember that we all have our own issues, troubles, and sins. We just don't live them on tv, in the news, and on the front page of every tabloid rag in the world.

No one is nominating Michael Jackson for sainthood. It was just an opportunity to put aside the crap that people like you keep bringing up every five seconds and celebrate the positive things that this one man has done for millions.

So the next time you want to bring up the flaws of another person, do everyone a favor: take a look in the mirror and point out a few of your own so you can come down off that pedastal of judgement and realize that people are human. And I pray that when your loved one passes away no one sits around and lists their faults over and over again while you grieve. May God help you both to learn how to be more like Him.

imafan, you totally get me wrong and what I said. I record all my show's and watch them IF I feel like it. Most times I just read this silly thing. You see, this 1 hr fictional storey that I am missing and you obviously watch as well, isn't important and as you said will air "tomorrow" Except it didn't did it. It did at like 230 this morning, but anyway, that wasn't the point. The POINT was and is, he is NOT a hero, he is NOT a great man. He is ONLY a man child who had the fortune to be able to sing and dance. made a fortune at doing it and yes did give a portion of it to charity (now if only the rest of the BIG mulitmillion stars would as well!). He however died a druggy, was accused of unmentionable acts, dangled his kid over a railing in Berlin, messed up his at one time handsome face with plastic surgery and was just down right creepy! Hero no, ICON maybe, POP king, probably, but worth all the pomp and hoopla, no. Did you know a former Secratary of State died this past week as well. As far as I know, only FOX reported that. So 5 other people passed around the same time Mr. Jackson actually killed himself with an over dose. Those 5 people where true ICONS!
